"Think I'm helpless now, do you?!" yelled Ashi. And when the two men got close enough... Ashi jumped up, and with his two wooden sandals, whopped them right in their faces, and upon landing, with the thugs still reacting to their pain, gave them each a swift kick to the balls. Now that the goons had other business on their minds, grasping their crotches in sweet agony, Ashi rushed toward his blade, grabbed it, rushed back toward the men, and with one swift motion, swiped both their heads off. Ashi did not play nice.

Rivers had been turned towards Pedition and the giant, the former doing a brutal amount of damage to his foe's head. It was interesting to see how Perdition's ability worked. He had turned back around to see the cyborg readying a gun, but it was too late to act. The God-Speed Reflexes work on sight, and because he was distracted, there was nothing he could to try and stop the bullet.

And of course, Mr. Government was crying about it. Rivers rolled his eyes and messaged him a middle finger, focusing his attention back on the cyborg. "Hey, bub, I need that guy alive so I can have dinner next week. You understand? Try shooting at me from now on," he explained, approaching the cyborg.

Deciding it best to go for a head-on attack, Rivers stepped forward and unleashed a straight punch with his right. It was a strong attack, but even stronger when it threw out a Spiritual Wave. Even the cyborg's mechanical limbs would suffer damage, but past that, when the wave would pass through him, it would spread and hit the crowd of terrorists just watching. A vibration would curl through their entire bodies, every inch of their being - insides and outsides - wanting to tear apart like there was a fire.

Now only one was left, the tattered clothes man and he looked at the dead bodies of his friends. "Ah... we had a better plan, I swear" he said, backing away and wringing his hands. They really did have a plan, but just... circumstances. Yes, blame it on circumstances. While he thought, he avoided an attack from Kyrio and held onto his hat. "Bugger this" he muttered, and backpedalled quickly.

"Time to see if I actually stole something useful" he muttered and threw a large metal ball covered in glass windows. It landed down in the sand, and started beeping.

Looking up at his ticket out of here, something started beeping from Lance's coat. He pulled out a PDA type device and boggled. "HURRY UP!!!" he shouted, grabbing the black rope that fell and climbing up it with his gloves. That was not a good sign, and now he realised he was missing something. The bad news... it was the intended method for destroying New Frontier. The good news, it was about to be deployed anyway.

<><><>

In the desert near the town, the scorpion turned it's head towards New Frontier. It's tail arced down, stabbing a dog and whipping it into the air. It scuttled further, claws stretching out, towards the town. It was drawn to something, it's new home.

Kyrio looked at the men running away, this was not good. Well, time for a fate worse than death...or not. He got a really bad feeling coming in, and he shouted at Ashi, "Come on kid, we have to get to the leaving. There's something coming here that we cannot handle alone." With Phantom Claw's full forces, I might be able to do something, but there's not enough elements here any more. Just wind and some rather frail earth.

Like it or not, he'd have to get a new "son" now.

Kyrio looked at Ashi, he would not allow this kid to come to harm here, he had to make sure Ashi made it out. It was kind of a personal oath he made.

Ashi could feel it too; somone... or something rather deadly, was headed this way. "Alright..." he said to Kyrio; obviously, they wouldn't be able to stand up to whatever was coming alone. But as they were leaving, something stopped Ashi dead in his tracks.

"No..." said Ashi, looking down at the ground, his sandogasa partly obscuring his face. But soon enough, he looked up again, his face still fairly serious, but now instilled with a new sense of determination. "We can't leave without making sure Lucky's okay. Yeah, you and I both know he's a demon, but he saved my life. I said to myself that I'd give him the benefit of the doubt then, and so far, he hasn't done anything to make me go back on that. At the least, I need to make sure he's getting out."

Ashi stared right at Kyrio's eyes; they (Ashi's,) were unbreakable, unmoving, like a solid gray rock. Ashi wasn't the kindest man around, but he wouldn't let people he knew — that weren't trying to kill him — die if he could help it.

Kyrio nodded, and said, "Make sure not to die, Ashi. I'll see you and everyone else outside town. Now, farewell."

He kept running, whatever was coming was big.

The arm exploded, causing the cyborg to stumble back and collapse. However, a familiar face looked through the carnage, and Cliff returned, juggling some fireworks. "Still got the gunpowder on you from before, I assume?" he asked, and dashed forwards, throwing the fireworks and setting off the gunpowder on River's. "For god sake, just remove his brain!" yelled James, performing a fielddressing on himself with some torn cloth.

A boom echoed through the station, no doubt the claws from the Armadillo. "What the... hey you" he said, and grabbed the woman. He took out a gun and held it to her chest. "What the Hell are you doing to my station?' he demanded, but the woman stayed silent. Finally, after a few moments, she sagged. "Nothing. We came here just to steal the valuables you have here, that's all. He told us he'd distract you."

"Who did?"

Lucky searched the town for Lucky, but unfortunately, he was nowhere to be found. Perhaps he had already escaped, thought Ashi. There was nothing else to do here, so, he darted back the way he came, and out of the town; all he could do was hope Lucky made it out okay. And eventually, having reached the edge of the town, Ashi found Kyrio once more. "Hey!" Ashi yelled out.

Rivers looked up at the bomber with eyes of disgust, but a smile of challenge. "You wiry bastard, just get out of my way," he demanded, keeping his position despite the incoming attack. The explosives came flying forward, and at the mention of gunpowder, the assassin realized what his intentions were.

Rivers leaped back, but in this motion, he quickly whipped off his jacket and tossed it towards the projectiles. It still incited the explosion, but at least the bulk of it was away from him. The fire scorched his bare skin, smoke smoldering from his body. His smile was weaker, but still present, as he locked his eyes back on his foe.

"Damn it, Perdition, just...!" he started, but sighed his anger off. Cliff had a serious advantage over him, but as Rivers examined the playing field, something came to mind. Up above, he noted that across the ceiling were several pipes of different sizes. In some places they were solid and clean, others looked rusty and in need of replacement.

"So you're made of gunpowder, right? Something like that?" Rivers asked, grinning wide. "Ya' know, I may not be a sniper or gun expert, but I do know one thing." He shot his fist upwards, letting loose a Spiritual Wave that vibrated into the pipes above. "Gunpowder doesn't work if it's wet!" The pipes snapped and shattered from his attack, the water it held pouring out and splashing onto the floor or the storage room. And as the water flooded from these pipes, it continued to crack and creak from the source of problem, the water surging out faster and faster and in larger quantities. Before long, it was like a waterfall had just broke into the large room, the floor slick with wetness, the air moist with the spray, and the level of the water increasing with each passing second.

"Let's see your bombs work now, you son of a bitch!" Rivers cheered, rushing past the streams of water and charging in with an open-handed swipe at Cliff.

"Fool, have you never heard of waterproofing?" he exclaimed dramatically, and reached into his pocket. He blinked, and searched again, finding nothing. "Crap" he said, and switched to close combat, the knife flipping open and slashing with a snick noise..

"Boss!" called down a voice from the next floor, and the cyborg looked up, cradling his smashed arm. "He's... dead. WE NEED GISCARD!" he yelled up suddenly, remembering who else they had with them. He took up the remains of the cannon and brought them down on Rivers, just hitting him with them.

"An... an unnatural. He never told us his name but he paid us and gave us a tip about finding valuables here."

"What was he wearing" demanded Perdition, the name Giscard puzzling something in his memory. "An old suit... sort of like yours. He had a scar across his right eye, but the clothes were tattered" explained the woman, and James cursed.

He pistol whipped the woman into unconciousness and strode over. "Restrain him" ordered the Government leader, flexing his hands, and hoping Rivers could hold down the chatty mercenary.

The pyromaniac fought them both now, moving with quick agility.

Kyrio looked over at Ashi and smiled as usual, "Ashi, did you find anyone?"

He was concerned that everybody might be dallying around when something serious was going down.

"Alright!" said Sunset. "Feather, you just stay where you are and pile on damage. I'll keep the thing distracted!"

His antigravity loafers engaged and he leapt into the air, opening fire on the enormous armadillo. For once, his lack of any sort of precision didn't affect him terribly badly.

It scratched away the projectiles, and looked at them with beady eyes. Digging itself into the ground with it's claws, it gripped the station floor and tried to butt them with it's head. "Stupid animal" muttered the man on it's back, and sent clearer instructions.

Since, for some reason, I don't think it is possible for you two to take it out (Unless you pull out some heavy artillery) then we might make this a Final Boss Preview of sorts. Just keep Roleplaying and I'll see.

Sunset rebounded off a building away from the monster and opened fire again, this time aiming at the rider.

"Little Feather! We need lots of lightning! Try draining the whole station and redirecting that energy into the beast!" he yelled.

The little thunderbird did exactly as asked... after spending a few moments trying to figure out what the floating man wanted of her. However she was able to sense the electric power coursing through all the station.

Little Feather looked around for an appropriate place to draw from the power of the station... and finally found a something metallic sticking from a wall which seemed promising.

Touching it with one hand while aiming at the Armadillo with the other, the girl acted like a conduit as she brought as much current as she could draw towards her enemy.

"What the hell" cursed the Station's head of security, watching the monitors and seeing the electricity be drained from other areas in the station. It wasn't meant to do that. OK, sure, the lightning wasn't meant to be absorbed by the station either, but he trusted James.

On the platform, the lightning slashed forwards through the air in a zig-zag, wrapping it's hot currents around the beast's head. It cried out in pain, and thrashed, the pupils becoming jagged and it closed it's eyes, the bright flash and electricity causing serious damage to it's eyes. "What did you do?!" exclaimed the beast master, looking around angrily and examining the beast. "You've blinded it!"
