Gough took note of the various people he heard who came through the portal, and their tales of what had happened. A great evil had been vanquished, and this world, and who knew how many more, had been saved from destruction. But not, it seemed, without a cost. From their comments he gleaned that the human girl they called Korra was grievously wounded. Such was the nature of war.

"'Tis a tragedy like no other, for life's light and flame to be extinguished in one so young..."

Team Science, Arena

Gavrill watched as Korra bled out, feeling nothing more than bored indifference. The kid was dying, you didn't need any special abilities to see that. It wasn't as if she cared about the avatar in any way, and she couldn't have done anything to help even if she did. Everyone else seemed invested though, which made zero fucking sense. This girl was nothing to them, but they were making a pointless fuss when they could have just taken the piece and left. What a waste.

The present company was clearly fucking useless, that much was clear, even the so-called Doctors if they couldn't repair this damage. If Fran or the Professor were here they could have fixed her, easily. Korra was just a sack of blood, meat and organs, like anybody else. All the talk about her dying soul or whatever sounded like bullshit to Gavrill. The trip had shown her that the spirits were nothing special, every bit as weak and mundane as anything else - they just had a different set of rules.

"She'll be dead soon enough. Looks like it hurts too. We should do her a kindness and smash her fucking head in right now."

Elsa

"Can you save her?"

Elsa's question cut through the conversation like an unpleasant chill. Her voice was steely and unusually menacing. The ice queen's hands gripped the edges of her dress and her finger nails sunk into the soft fabric so hard it left crumple marks.

"I don't care how, can you save her?"

Elsa looked imploringly at Kya, the woman currently holding the glowing puddle of water over Korra's prone form.

"Please".

Elsa slowly bowed her head. Then, she stretched out a hand to place around the place where Korra was bleeding internally- indicated by the growing bruise. It was a common medical practice to place ice on bruising so as to limit the blood flowing into the damaged area; Elsa was sure she could achieve something of the same effect. However, Elsa's hand snapped back before it touched Korra as if it had been stung by a bee. The hand retreated to it's old position: clutching her ice dress as if hanging on for dear life.

She was suddenly overcome with the fear that should she touch Korra, she would freeze the avatar from head to toe.

A snow flake drifted down and landed on Kya's nose. Above the group, the once clear sky had suddenly filled with ominous storm clouds. A bitter chill swept through the landscape and gave a shiver to even the most well dressed person on the scene. Elsa shut her eyes as something hot stung at the edges of her eye lids.

"Please."

For those that had the eyes to see, the ground behind Elsa had begun to freeze over, the ice crisscrossing to form menacing and sharp patterns over the ground. The ice slowly grew, spreading over the ground with ever sharper twists and turns.

Then suddenly, Elsa's eyes snapped open. She had heard Gavrill's snide comment about smashing in Korra's skull to release the avatar from her mortal coils.

"How...can you be so senseless?"

Somewhere inside Elsa's head, a small voice screamed the hypocrisy of her saying that. After all, who was she to talk, one who wouldn't even show up to the funeral of her own parents? But Elsa bit back the voice. She was different now, somehow. She could feel again.

"Dash that. I don't know if you mean well with what you are saying Gavrill and I will give you the benefit of the doubt."

Something dripped down Elsa's chin and landed in her snow cushion.

"Try anything like what you said and I will freeze every last molecule in your body"

Chaika Trabant - We're Probably Not Going to Kwong's Anymore

The situation seemed to be very, very bad. Apparently Korra, the injured girl, had suffered damage not in her body, but in her spirit... if that was possible. She hadn't heard or seen anyone who had been through something like that, but it seemed to be really, really serious, and with the possibility to leave permanent damage, according to what she'd heard.

Needless to say, the overall morale was really low, and hers was no exception. Even the most easygoing people had set aside the banquet in light of what had happened to Korra. But was there no way to fix it?

Chaika gently put her coffin on the ground, and retrieved a small notebook from inside, containing all the spells she knew. Maybe there was one that could help...

However, one by one, all the magic spells written down there were ruled out, leaving the young wizard with absolutely no chances of helping Korra. So she did the only thing she could do in a situation like that: sit down and hope for the best.

"What you accomplished was not a failure," Atrocitus assured Maria. "You helped to prevent a villain from accomplishing its goals and saved this universe and its people from destruction as a result. This was a victory. What happened to Korra was merely the cost." He paused for a moment, concentrating on Korra. "How grave it is what remains to be seen."

He heard Gavrill's comment. The Red Lantern was planning to put the undead cunt in her place, but he noticed the sudden chill in the weather and heard Elsa's threat towards the cannibal. The Ryutian could not hold back a smirk, both out of pride for Elsa and out of slight giddy anxiousness for Gavrill to give him an excuse......

When the blonde chick in the weird dress admonished and threatened her, Gavrill gasped, a look of mock horror on her face. It was amazing the way people could care so much for someone they barely knew. She didn't think she would ever come to understand it.

"What, you'd keep the poor dear alive and suffering as long as possible? It's as if you want her to die slowly and painfully!"

She shook her head and laughed, a harsh unpleasant sound.

"It doesn't make a difference if the little bitch lives or dies, really. She's absolutely nothing to me. Maybe you should stick your new girlfriend in a block of ice and fix her later, Fräulein. Maybe she'd be less of a fucking annoyance that way."

Ryuko

"Yikes. Really looks like you went through hell..." Ryuko mumbled as she and Senketsu kept her eyes squarely on Korra and her deteriorating health. Whatever happened while she was in the Spirit World must have took a toll on her body, or rather spirit with how the others were saying. All Ryuko could do was to stand there and hope that the medical attention she was receiving would heal her. Unfortunately looking unlikely as time goes on, and Korra's continued bleeding.

Meanwhile she overheard an argument coming from Gavrill and Elsa. With what Gavrill suggest they do to Korra, and with what she said about the situation afterward, Ryuko simply stretched her neck and looked over at Gavrill. "Well aren't you a heartless bitch..." she said over to Gavrill and had her eyes fall back to Korra.

Erza

Whatever questions and actions that Erza could have done after crossing the portal was buried in her mind as she saw Korra in the condition she was in. The people inside the arena jumped to check on her, showing that they at the very least wouldnot attack them. Erza kept her eyes trained on the situation, feeling terrible in her own mind at how she was unable to help Korra in this situation.

Elec Man snapped to attention when euthanasia was suggested.

"No," he said firmly, "If this girl can be saved, she will be. We will do everything that can be done." He'd seen too much of such things back home. Robot Masters going offline simply because someone -even themselves, sometimes- believed they couldn't be saved. Sometimes humans, too.

But this talk of her mind being damaged... it reminded him far too much of Blues. His brother, who'd run away to die alone, because he couldn't accept being fixed if it meant an oh so tiny chance of losing his 'self'... and of all that had resulted from that decision. And of Quick Man and his brothers, who'd chosen to be taken offline rather than serve a new purpose.

"Is there anything I can do to help?"

Magic, Arena

Riesbyfe wasn't really sure what she was expecting on the other side of the portal, but a crowded stadium wasn't it.

Somebody -that girl from earlier- was badly wounded, and more of the spiritual kind than physical. Riesbyfe wasn't really sure she could do much about that. Sure, religious faith was her stock-and-trade (along with hitting things really hard), but spiritual healing? Not her area, unless stabbing vampires until they died was healing them. Oh, and she could technically baptise people if they were dying, but... somehow, Riesbyfe doubted that would help.

Ah, and now a debate on the morality of euthanasia. Well, debate insofar as one person was saying to kill her and be done with it and the others disagreed.

"I don't know everything about what's going on, but... If there's not much of a chance she's gonna be alright, and just about none that she'll ever be, well, her again, a quick death would be a kindness... I've seen people like that. It's... not nice. Not that I mean to be siding with the fuckin' asshole over there," she added.

After a short pause, she went on, "Still, you said there's a chance, right? If that's the case, don't you dare just give up. Gotta have faith."

Sky

Sky had briefed left to get a change of scenery. However, his chance of getting some rest by walking around the arena had to be placed aside when he saw Urza arrive with Loki via portal.

"I trust things went well?"

Sasuke

Sasuke saw that no hostiles were around. He instead sheathed his Kakuremaru and deactivated his ranger form, returning back to his black Shinobi shozoku clothes.

MAGIC

Seiga kept quiet. Best tread carefully, and not say something that might damage relations with the rest of the team. It would hardly be a catastrophe, true, but that did not make it desirable.

So she just looked sad and distraught. Worked well enough.

Toph on the other hand, felt genuine concern for the avatar.

"Come on. One of you has to know something that can help Twinkletoes," said the blind girl. "You guys always have good answers to everything, or at least you like to make us think that."

Science

"Creaky? Again? Humans... " Nitori muttered under her breath.

She folded her arms with a huff, though she was considering Korra's plight as well. Kappa sucked at this type of thing, though hermits, as far as she knew, were pretty good at it.

So why was Seiga saying nothing? Oh well, Kya might end up helping anyway.

Supergirl

After dealing with Loki and exiting the portal, and giving a quick glance at Vile, Supergirl flew our of the portal an knelt near Korra, looking at her worried.

"How is she doing?" the kryptonian asked to everyone. While part of her was glad she was wrong about korra's death. The way everyone was looking at her and how weak she looked didn't seem to be a good sign at all.

Supergirl—Talking with Gavrill

Kara then noticed that there was Gavrill her old martial arts teacher being her usual rude self, something hardly surprising coming from her. Supergirl wondered what make her like that. Maybe she had had a difficult past or maybe her jerkiness was her way of coping with some kind of pain. Kara following the example of his cousin, decide to ask her something.

"If you were dying, Wouldn't you like someone to care for you?" she told her with a smile. "I know you're very strong, but we all need someone to help us stand up when we fall. We can be there for you if you want".

Ryuko

"Emphasis on the word 'bitch'..." Ryuko answered back to Gavrill. She scratched her head as she looked down at Korra. "Man is this a mess. If there's a chance she can pull through, why talk about killing her... and right in her face too?" she wondered out loud.

Erza

Erza frowned upon hearing the suggestions of euthanizing Korra. She shook her head to clear her head of the thoughts she was thinking and opened her mouth to interject on the conversation. The words she wanted to say died in her throat.

Vile, Arena

Fully exiting the portal Vile entered into what some consider a tense situation, seemed like Korra was dying or something. Having nothing to gain or lose, Vile kept his mouth shut, whatever way this situation went, whether she lived or died, overall it was no concern of his afterall she was nothing to him, so he would wait this situation out for now and it would hopefully pass like bad weather.

Somehow, some of them still didn't understand? They actually thought she was taking some kind of moral stance?

"Ah, okay, you caught me out. I don't really think she should be killed out of mercy. But I do think killing her might be quite entertaining!"

She shrugged.

"So what? Yeah, I'm a monster. In every sense of the word. I thought I'd made that pretty fucking clear to all of you."

Gavrill looked at Supergirl with disdain.

"If you really think that's what I want... I'm afraid you haven't been paying attention."

Estelle couldn't stay silent anymore. This euthanasia talk sickened her to her very core. These people were arguing over a life that wasn't even theirs. "Enough! This point is moot because Korra is going to make a recovery."

As if to back up her statement she went to Korra and took up her typical pose of casting a spell, mumbling an incantations. A circle of yellow light appeared under the both of them and a steady stream of healing magic would flow through Korra.

"Oh no." Loki mumbled, rolling his eyes exaggeratedly. "How will I ever live with such a well-crafted argument against my persona?" He placed a hand over his forehead, moaning dramatically before scoffing in Supergirl's direction, following Urza. "The firm grasp you have on that piece shows how much you believe in our employers. I fear you might be playing right into their hand... and since you are the most reasonable person here, I fear what that means for our continued existence."

"Vaatu. The spirit of darkness." Asami told Atrocitus, shaking her head. "And he's safely tucked away in some place he'll never come out of, so don't worry about that." When Gavrill piped in with her recommendation, the anger in Asami's face was palpable. Luckily, Sokka stepped in between Gavrill and everyone else. He turned to her, giving her a sort of 'can we talk about this later' look, before nodding to Korra and mouthing she'll be fine, let it go and pointing with his thumb at Elsa.

"Rest." Kya told Mordin, bending some sweat off her brow. "Lots of rest. Two weeks, like I said. Constant healing sessions too.. and my Mom used special water with healing properties..."

Armani stepped out of the portal to meet the others, and immediately noticed that wherever they were, they had garnered quite a crowd, particularity the area nearby where most of his teammates seemed to be crammed in and focusing around something. He cocked his head slightly and then looked around, taking in his surroundings Guessing this must be Ba Sing Se, since everyone else is here? After his initial assessing he wandered into the group himself to see what all the fuss was about.

"Alright", he said when he noted everyone's expressions in the back, "Who's dyin...g?" His voice blanked when he finally caught view of the bedside. He paused, opened his mouth, closed it again, then glanced at Maria, then back at Korra again. "...I'm confused. What did I miss?" He closed his eyes and rubbed his head, dazed. A million questions formed in his confused thoughts. Going from 'suppressing sadness from someone's demise' to 'worrying about the health of said very much alive person' was a surreally jarring transition; the world already didn't make sense but now it was throwing a sodding sudden left hook. He squeezed his eyes shut, forcing himself to patiently listen and garner the situation from the others.

"...Okay, okay, questions as to how she's here later. So...no discernible damage, no...." He crushed his hand to his forehead and shook his head. No help from him; he knew some medical knowledge but nothing about spiritual damage. His own ambrosia would probably just kill her physical form; once again, the boy found himself in the condition of being able to do nothing on someone else's sickbed. He extremely preferred it when it was the other way around. At least she might live, but at what cost? Armani forced himself away from such thoughts and glanced around, narrowing his eyes at Gavril. "...Alright can we get non medical personnel out of the immediate area? We're just clogging things up here"

"Can't believe I'm saying this but the boy's right- everyone who's not actively helping Korra, back off!" Lin yelled, motioning for everyone, even Tenzin, to take a few steps back. She gave Gavrill a rather nasty glare as she passed by her.

"Is it such a surprise that I'm right some of the time?" Armani halfheartedly quiped to Lin. He started to back away with the others before Korra called out to him; he paused uncertainly and shifted back to her side. "Hey, guess someone's back from the dead. Guess the underworld thought you had too cool a death to let you in." He gave a halfhearted smile, but there was strength to his eyes; at least she was alive, a definite huge step up from a few minutes ago.

" Armani... s-sorry for not being in shape to... t-teach you a lesson about wearing a shirt" Korra whispered, trying to keep up a smile before breaking into a coughing fit.

He gave her a tiredly wry look. "Think the pot is calling the kettle black on this one, looking at you; see the benefits of going shirtless now? Medical magic is a lot easier to apply for one thing." He chuckled slightly, trying to lighten her mood. " Soon we'll all be walking around, upper bodies bared, and I'll be laughing at you for your skepticism." He frowned as she started coughing, glancing at the doctors and wondering if he was getting in the way. He grimaced as blood started coming out. Spirit damage causes damaged lungs now, of all things?

" I n-need to ask you for a favor. Your dogs... spiritual, right? You have a connection... to them. Like I do. " She stopped, coughing even more, a bit of blood hitting her hand. " D-don't you? "

He glanced back at the portal. "Yeah, they're back in the spirit world now. I—" he cringed again as she coughed up more blood, growing nervous the more she whispered. The last thing he wanted was for her to hurt herself while trying to speak to him. "Look, look, if this is exerting you then stop already." He motioned at her to desist and gave her a look of somewhat stern concern. "Your talking isn't helping your health any, I can see that much." The doctors started to whisper behind him and he backed a foot off in case they wanted to take his position; he wasn't sure if he should even be here as she clearly needed the rest.

The Twelfth Doctor ran his screwdriver over Korra's side, before leaning in to whisper at Mordin's ear. "My screwdriver's picking up some deep damage. She might not be able to use her legs." He cleaned his throat, then nodded to Armani, as if asking Mordin to pass the news over to him.

"With better equipment, could fix damage. More time, could heal her completely. Have neither." Mordin caught the gesture, and moved over to the young human, pulling him aside for a moment.

Armani tightened his jaw and glanced at the doctors, and gave the good patient a 'hold on' motion. He was at Mordin's side before he could come over, dragging him off to a corner some feet away himself. Certainly an odd looking fellow though he didn't stop to ask about it; certainly not a local. Probably some other poor sop recently dragged from who knows where.

"Doctor suggests possible damage to nervous system. Patient may lose ability to walk." Mordin whispered.

"So I heard", he spoke under his breath. He sighed in frustration. It didn't help much. "You're on team science, aren't you? Won't there be at least one of your teammates who knows how to build the equipment you need?" Then again, he had seen that most people in science were ironically not that scientific. He rubbed his head. "We have advanced magical minds and scientific minds from across the whole bloody multiverse; how can we not fix this? Have we even asked? It's not like we're only going to —" For once, he finally caught himself before he tempted fate. "We've got time enough; we're not leaving yet. If the nomads want us back they can sodding well wait till we're finished."

There was a flash.

There was a swirling motion in the middle of the air.

And just like before, standing in the arena, there were two portals- one for Team Science, and one for Team Magic. And a voice in the Seeker's heads.

"RETURN TO ME, FOR YOU ARE NEEDED."

"Yet it does seem as if they possess a sense of timing." Loki mumbled to Urza, moving towards the portal.

"Armani, please." Korra groaned, trying to sit up, as Kya frantically pushed her down. "I just need to ask you one... t-thing... "

Armani gestured around in growing fury, then growled and slumped. A million little things, all drilling into his head...

"Have not met many teammates. Could not comment. Can contruct equipment, but local technology not up to standard." Mordin replied.

"Just...right. Thanks for the update...uh, you sir", he sighed again and shot the portals another stubborn look before stomping back to Korra's side, gaze softening again. He almost told off Kya for being too handsy but restrained himself; she likely knew what she was doing.

Mordin watched the portal appear, and made his way back to Korra. "Will not leave patient." he directed at the portals, which had boomed with their apparent employer's voices. "Require our presence? Heal her."

Armani was liking this guy already. "Easy, easy, I'm right here." He leaned on the ice bed next to her. "This better NOT be a request to pull your life support you know." He knew levity was fairly unlikely to work at this point, but he would go down fighting.

"Please don't get yourselves in trouble because of me, alright?" Korra told Mordin and Armani, giving them a confident smile despite what she was going through. "I know what Vaatu did to me, but it doesn't compare to what... what whoever's behind that can do to you guys."

Armani's extremely stubborn demenour didn't change. He crossed his arms to emphasis this. "They can do as they please; I'm not leaving until I'm ready and know you're going to be well off without us."

Korra looked over at Kya, taking a deep breath as she placed the healing water over her chest.

"I'm going to be fine. Really. This is one patient you'll have to follow up on... later." Korra told Mordin. "Kya's got me. And the Doctor can stay here?"

The Twelfth Doctor looked over to the TARDIS, then at Korra. "Yes, of course." He mumbled, brushing his hair back a little.

The Eleventh Doctor simply nodded. "We can provide adequate care for her. We are the Doctors, after all."

Mordin took a breath, weighing the options. He didn't want to leave a patient, but she would be in good hands, and whoever had brought them on this journey had found a more pressing matter. "...fine. Must speak to group organizer. No respect for medical procedure." After casting a glance at the rest of the combined groups, he strode purposefully into the portal.

Armani looked between the doctors for a couple of seconds, then glanced downard. "...Mmm..." Deal was starting to sound better — they were both obviously futuristic — but he still wasn't truly convinced that he should leave one of his friends behind. He slowly looked back into Korra's eyes as she gripped his shoulder, giving her an inquisitive but wary look.

"I only got one thing to ask you Armani." Korra continued. "Keep... k-keep yourself tuned into the Spirit World, okay?... maybe take a piece of it with you. So you can feel what they feel. And when I'm back up and standing, I'm going to call you. And you'll bring everyone back, alright? You promise you'll do that for me."

"...Take a piece of me back huh..." He scratched his cheek. That would be violating SOME kind of interdimensional travel rule he was sure. But then again, since when did he care about other's rules? He still didn't want to leave her — but if they could come back later, then he could ensure for himself that whatever damage had been done to her was reversed, and while he still didn't really trust his 'employer' this WAS the first time he had deemed to speak to them personally; perhaps this really was important. It had BETTER be, or they were never going to get cooperation out of him again.

"Alright, deal then. You darn well are going to get better; they think the damage might be permanent, but if there's one thing we share — well more than one thing but that's besides the point — it's how stupidly stubborn we are." He reached up and gripped her hand warmly. "I wouldn't let an injury from some stupid meglomaniacal ranting spirit keep me down, and you won't either." He smirked. "Show them all that we can't be defeated that easily." He let go and gently gripped her shoulder. "Can't speak for the others, but I know I'll come back if you hold your end of our bargain, and if you still aren't healed then I'll find someone in the universe who bloody well can." He leaned his other hand forward. "Promise?"

Korra leaned forward to... close Armani's hand, turning it into a fist. She patted it, before fistbumping him. "Of course I do."

"Don't you forget it." He snorted in good humor; he still wasn't happy, but he no longer felt hopeless. Which reminded him. "Oh, don't worry about the princess spirit by the way." He pointed at his noggin. "Got her nice and contained." He paused before pursing his lips. "Uh by the way, any idea where I can offload her at? You all have a magical prison or something?"

"Magical prison? Do I look like the kind of person who has a magical prison?" Korra scoffed.

"Aren't you the avatar, the big oh so lofty authority on all things spiritual?"

"I don't think you've noticed, but until today, I wasn't that big on the spiritual side of th—" Korra's retort was interrupted by another coughing fit.

"That's enough witticisms for now." Kya warned.

Armani's smirk faded. "Right..." He gave her shoulder one last pat. "You get well; I'll be gone a while, but you better believe we'll be back." He paused, and looked around once more; it occured to him now more than ever that he might very well never see this planet again, despite his best attempts to have it otherwise. Might be the last time to see these people; it had been a short time, but he had grown fond of several, and had made friends among them. This whole reality hopping thing really cemented the fact that they were alone... He shook himself out of it. He had to move. He gave his friend one last cool smirk. "Well...see you later."

"Come on, boy." Loki barked from the portal. "Our employers wait for no one."

Armani rolled his eyes and left her. "Considering how much you get in the way of things, hornhead, our employers are apparently very patient. They somehow manage to put up with you after all." He nodded to the doctors as he walked by them. "Take good care of her — and of yourselves, you kooks." The Twelfth Doctor mumbled something- most likely an expletive- and the Eleventh Doctor shot him a smile. One last little goodbye to tidy up; he made one quick side trip to Asami's side. "If I hear that you've run anyone else over by the time I make another visit, Asami, I'm never going to let you hear the end of it." He gave her a rushed wave goodbye before rejoining the others near the portals.

Elsa

The ice queen's stony expression cracked even as Lin ushered the no medical people out of the area. Her brow furrowed and relaxed as if her face was still trying to make up it's mind if Elsa was sad or not. Then finally, Elsa's expression settled and Elsa stood up stiffly.

She moved away to the side and allowed Mordin, the Doctor and Armani to pass by. She said nothing as the the medics confirmed that Korra would live. She said nothing when she overheard their whispers; so Korra may face a life in a wheel chair. Her hand clenched itself into a fist before relaxing again, twitching.

There was a flash and the portals to home opened. With it came the mental command to return. Well, that was new. The Nomads must have something important to tell them if they were actually talking to them.

As the others filed past her, Elsa stood where she was. Then, when Armani turned to leave, Elsa rushed forwards to Korra's bed and knelt down beside the Avatar. For a moment, words refused to form on her lips but she mastered her nerves and spoke.

"Well, I....I guess you won't get to teach me ice bending after all, Avatar."

Elsa managed a thin smile.

"It would seem that I've gone and mastered it my own way. I guess this is where I go and...something tells me we won't see each other again so-"

A warm blue glow emanated from Elsa's hands as he cupped them together. When he unclasped her hands she laid something on Korra's hands.

It was a crystalline structure of dazzling beauty. It was firm as diamond but light as snow. A central three petaled purple flower outlined in light blue with green tendrils that slowly branched out and formed a necklace of shining white crystals.

In the center of the flower was a sapphire that seemed to glow all by itself and when the sun's rays hit it, it took that light and refracted it into hundreds of hues.

"Here, something to remember me by. A necklace of nevermeltice made by the greatest ice bender to ever live."

And with that, Elsa stood up and hurried into the portal.

Somehow, she knew that this was the last she would see of Korra.

Arena

Ooh, time to return, time to return. Just like last time. Would they get another two weeks? Perhaps, perhaps not.

Seiga watched the ... "nevermeltice", was that what Elsa called it? It was beautiful. What if it turned out that Korra never got to keep it? Wouldn't that be terrible?

She chuckled internally. How hard could stealing it be? She looked up, and saw Nitori. The kappa looked sullen, to put it mildly. She seemed to be on the cusp of a tantrum.

Then, with evident effort, the kappa eased her expression into an open and friendly smile. Floating over to Korra, she took off her bag and dumped a truly ludicrous amount of money at the avatar's feet.

"I won't be having any use for this. None. So you can have it, use it however you like."

Oh, so that was the issue. Tut tut, so materialistic.

"In return... could I please have that neclace? I have a fondness for ice, from my home, and if that will never melt then... it could remind me that place."

Well, that was a bald-faced lie from Seiga's perspective. The areas the kappa frequented had no more and no less ice than most of the rest of Gensokyo. The river youkai had never shown a fondness for ice prior to this either, so Nitori was most likely just making it up for the sentimental value.

Nitori hoped the avatar had bought the story. She was so bitter already, she really did not need to compound the feeling. Some part of her wondered why she was setting herself up for it then, but she quashed it.

Seeing all the money she had earned, pride flushed in her once more. The avatar was getting it all though. Ah well, dragging it with her would serve no purpose. She understood that on a purely intellectual level. She was simply loathe to accept it on all others.

So getting the ice flower was nice compensation, in her mind. If the next place she was going to had humans, they'd be all over it. Humans liked pretty things. They liked rare things. They liked eternal things. That neclace fit all three criteria.

Toph smiled, a tad more wistful than usual perhaps, but a smile nontheless.

"You'll be alright, Twinkletoes. The one before you was tougher than he looked, which isn't saying all that much I guess. Still, you'll get through this."

She wondered briefly what her relationship with Korra was going to end up being, when she was old. She put it out of her mind though. The time would come eventually, and being overly worrisome was more Katara or Animal Girl than her.

Creaky asking for the ice flower... well, Ice Queen had given it to Korra, so it felt kinda wrong. She'd leave it to Twinkletoes to decide though.

She put a hand on Korra's shoulder as she walked past, avoiding the pile of money. Before entering the portal, she waved a final goodbye at the rest.

"Bye then. I'm expecting you guys to keep this up," she said, spreading her arms as if to indicate Republic City around them.

Team Magic

Meanwhile, back outside the Team Magic HQ, another portal opened up, and out of it stepped Princess Kitana. She glanced around at her soundings, confused. She had used the portal between the realms of Earthrealm and Outworld before, and she knew that this area is not where the portal opened in Earthrealm. With a frown, she considered what had happened.

The most likely explanation was that one of Shao Kahn's sorcerers had somehow manipulated the portals between realms to drop her into this area in order to spring a trap. Shang Tsung, probably. But....no. She'd had yet to be attacked, and this large open area would be a poor place to spring a trap. Something else was going on.

It was then that another portal opened near her. Perhaps those who emerged would be able to shed some light on the situation. Still, never hurt to be cautious. She drew her fan blades, opening one and holding it in front of her face, while she kept the other one closed in its dagger form, hidden behind her. She stepped forward to address those emerging from the portal, once she was sure it was not Shang Tsung or another of Shao Kahn's servants.

"You there. I am Kitana, Princess of Edenina. I need to know which realm I have found myself in."

-The gretchin hold their ears, while their leader snarls impatiently at yet another intrusion in his busy schedule.-

WOTSIT DOIN' IN ME 'EAD?! GET OUTTA DERE!

-Throwing the pile of money only a cursory glance, having determined it contained neither teef nor interesting gubbinz, the orks wander into the portal.-

Well weren't dis a zoggin' waste of time. We finds us a ship wut works as a tellyporta an' don't even 'ave gubbinz ta show fer it.

An' oi got turned into a 'umie!

An' oi got turned into a warpspawn!

*WHACK* Shaddap you two, oi'z talkin'.

Still, oi got dis 'at. Mebbe it weren't a total loss. -

-Iroh jerks as the voice fills his mind.-

What- who?

-About to ask the others what is going on, he sees Toph enter the portal, apparently having heard it as well. Iroh sighs resignedly. Evidently they were not brought here solely to be assured of his nephew's redemption or her daughter's success, there must be a price to pay.-

-Before heading into the portal, he bows deeply before Korra.-

Farewell, Avatar. Perhaps we will meet again- you or your predecessor.

Science, Arena

Elec Man turned and strode towards the portal, but only after Mordin did. If the medical professional was satisfied things would turn out okay, then chances were they would, at least to Elec Man's mind.

This... employer... was not looking like... well, anything good.

Elec Man paused for a moment, then stepped into the portal.

Magic, Arena

"So. That's those "god-like beings" I've been hearing so much about, I take it?" Riesbyfe said. It wasn't really a question, the answer was stunningly obvious.

Riesbyfe walked straight through the portal soon after they'd opened, just as soon as she'd said her piece. It wasn't like she had any other option, though, since getting left behind in wherever this was didn't really sit well with her goal of finding the fastest way back home.

A voice rang out in Estelle's mind. It made her lose concentration and stop the spell. Apparently she had to follow it or risk a fate worse than Korra's. There were apparently Doctors tending to her, so she supposed that would have to do.

Leaving a patient to ensure her own safety was a sickening thought to Estelle but she supposed she had to.

"Goodbye Korra. And...thank you, for everything." with that she courtseied and walked over to the portal for team magic.

Ryuko

While she gave a "Not impressed" look over to Gavrill, Ryuko stepped aside as per Lin and Armani's request. Shewas slightly relieved upon seeing Korra show some kind of life and seeing that the situation seemed to be at hand. Upon them walking away from Korra, a sharp flash of light appeared from her peripheral vision and turned to see a large portal at her side. At that moment, she overheard a voice saying that the Seekers were needed at their respective bases. Ryuko simply shrugged and walked towards the portal.

"You're welcome for us having to save this city from those Cybermen thingys..." Ryuko said with a wave as she walked inside the portal. She also gave a short wave over to Chaika as she walked in. "I really need a fucking rest..." she muttered to Senketsu upon walking to the other side.

Erza

Erza also stepped aside upon hearing Armani's request. With the situation now under control, Erza was caught off-guard by the sudden appearance of the portal in the arena, alongside a voice urging them to cross the portal. With one final glance over to Korra, who was now chatting with Armani and the other group members who were tending to her, she walked into the portal and into Team Magic's base.

After reaching the base, she overheard a new voice coming from her side. She looked over to the newcomer and gripped her sword in case she (whom introduced herself as Kitana) started to turn violent.
