It's alright at showing the trope, but it's really grainy. My suggestion would be from this clip from the examples list...the crying starts at about 1:02 and goes through the rest of the scene. We could get one shot of her starting to cry, and then another of her with her face in his chest, or either of them could possibly work on their own.
This scene could get us another decent 2-panel shot.

Of them, I'd favor 2.
I'm pretty sure 2 would work on its own, but the trope description involves leaping into someone else's arms while crying.
No it doesn't. Cling and cry are the two components of it.
Alright, here's what I've got.
Those are blurry as all hell.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Best I could do with what I had...in this case, I figured the gist of the pics comes through. They're no worse than the current pic in that aspect, and I think they get the crying across more clearly. I'm not crazy about the Avatar pics because when I think of this trope, I think of the kind of crying that's being done in the TV pics; she's not nearly distraught enough.

- shrug* Maybe I just have really awful eyesight, but I don't think any of the shots are particularly blurry. 2 has a little better light, though.

Personally, I think having two separate pictures is unnecessary and might be more confusing. But either of the #2 pictures would probably be sufficient.
In the second one, her face is hidden. If we do only one of the two, I think it should be the first one from #2, if that makes any sense.
I don't have any problem with the current image, but I do prefer that second Avatar image◊.
There's definitely no need to have a two-part image here, of course—it's very easy to get in just one.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I agree there's no need to have a 2-part image. (I was the troper who made the - well, it wasn't a complaint, precisely, but I didn't think it illustrated the trope as well as it could have.)
Anyway, I have DV Ds of both the X-Files and the Inspector Lynley Mysteries, so I can get less grainy screenshots and reduce them to fit the page. Just let me know which show you want to go with and what you want me to get.
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart.Okay, since there hasn't been any activity on this thread for a few days, I went ahead and switched it, following Clevomon's and Willbyr's suggestions. If anybody has any issues, we can always go ahead and switch it.

I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart.Looks good. I'll leave this open for a day or so for final comments before closing, in case anyone's got a vehement objection.
A couple further alternatives from Pans Labyrinth...

Not bad, but I think I like the Lynley one a little better...those would be good for an Image Links page.

Like the first one better.
Fight smart, not fair. What was the original pic? (Curious)
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.I could definitely get behind an Image Links page, since there's way more than one good example out there.
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart. This◊ I think? I'm okay with it.
Fight smart, not fair. How about a crowner? *shrug*
Rhymes with "Protracted."
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
There was a complaint on the discussion page about the image not really representing the trope. I was the one who initially put the image, and so naturally, I disagree with that. However, there are probably better images out there, so I wanted to submit to the troper Hive Mind to see if we can find a better one.
