Well, the image shows us how she looks like. Shows us how she's otherwise getting a normal god treatment with the statues and everything. I think it's not bad, I learned something today.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Motion to pull
There's nothing in the picture to indicate the "odd job" status. Reaction Image RepositorySeconding. There's not really anything in it to indicate the "gods" part either. Lots of non-gods get statues.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyPossible replacement, the same goddess:
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.
Now we have the caption IN the picture instead of UNDER it. I can't read any of the words, nor can I see any obvious "sewers".
Well, it's supposed to be a piece from a magazine or some kind which you don't have to read anyway. But I understand how this might be frowned upon.

Slightly off-topic, but relevant to the subject at hand: In general however, I think we're starting to confuse tiebreakers with actual criteria. Yes, if we have an image that shows the trope with internal "captions" and another that does so without, it's reasonable to favour the latter. This is a tiebreaking principle.
However, as an alternative to nothing, I don't think text-y/caption-y images are any worse. They're not bad images which will mislead people. They actually do help people to understand the gist of the trope. That is to say, you can try to replace them, but probably not pulling them.
I'd like to hear from a mod for our official stance here. A while back there was a discussion about JAFAAC and the position of captions in our system, but I left the site for more than a month after that.

Rhymes with "Protracted."
Bump. Skadi, goddess of skiing◊, from Norse Mythology?
I only wish there was an image for B'caw, god of spicy chicken.
Dramaturg, troper, theatre reviewer. (Please hire me.)That first pic...I love it.
Clock is set. I still like the first pic from post #9.
That one is good. Caption? This obviously needs one.
EDIT: What is that Shiretoth thing?

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!The first one's probably the best composition-wise, but I'm kinda meh on them all.
You know what, put up the first pick. I don't care if its "caption on picture" because it is clearly an article and it demonstrates the trope well.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI can't really tell in that Skadi one that she's a goddess. I agree with ; the text is unreadable, but the image is serviceable nonetheless.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Maybe it's just me but I don't see a difference between a caption doing the work and some text in an image doing the work.
because in addition to the caption there are pictures of water and pipes and it is clearly from an article on the subject(meaning they are going depth)?
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackDefinitely post 9 for me. Not seeing what we typically expect in an ISO-standard goddess is not a dealbreaker: this is an Odd Job Goddess, a goddess with one of those oddly erratic remits. I think the fact that she's unimpressive is on message.

The clock's been up for a while...anyone where they can upload that first pic from post #9 and put it on the page?
Image up, captioned and tagged.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanI still like post five better, I will civily protest
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackGood stuff. Locking.
The caption does ALL of the work here folks.
