Yeah, but the difference is they nipped that show's downhill status in the bud quickly.

I saw it briefly, I think it was the Undergrowth episode and some of Phantom Planet. I personally did not like the third season from what I saw so far so I stopped watching it. From what I hear the third season was a sign of things going downhill anyway so I am glad they just ended it before it went any further

They let go of the guy who made sure the show kept a consistent tone and wasn't written, well, let's go with "simply." I think it was Guy Moon, but it's been forever since I read about it. Anyway, after that, Butch took the helm completely and made the show have a much lighter tone like he wanted. Which, I mean, it's his show, so he can do what he wants with it, and I don't think that season was awful like some do, but he did kind of nip and ignore a lot of interesting story directions (or potential directions).

[up] Guy Moon is the music guy. (Who, incidentally, also composed the score to Cow And Chicken.)

Steve Marmel is the guy you're thinking of.

Meh, I am all about the potential story directions so turning a good amount of the third season into conquer the world plots despite how the story can go in a differ much more interesting direction is partly why I stopped watching it.

I saw a bit of the third season of DP. Some of the episodes were neat (I love the master of disguise ghost episode) some were weird but still interesting (I don't care what anyone else says, I liked the Undergrowth episode). A few plotlines were left hanging (Jazz has "ghost envy?" Isn't that important?) or not very well concluded (Vlad spends a whole season building himself up as mayor then loses it in a very contrite way). On the one hand, the second Dani episode wrapped up her and Valerie's plots pretty well, on the other Phantom Planet ended in a cliche and abrupt way. Etc.

If you ask the average fan they'll probably tell you it was the worst thing known to mankind or something, but I think it's at least okay.

At least they didn't bring Dark Danny back, though I think I'm the only person who thinks that's a good thing.

[up]Oh no I think its good too, Dark Danny while the episode he premiered in was one of the best in the series he did not really have a motivation other than Kill everything in the most painful way possible due to being sociopath. Anything they could of done with him probably would not of made it on air....

What else could be done/wraped up if DP continued, anyways?

[up][up] Just as long as there is more significant character development for Danny's Family (because I actually didn't stop hating Jazz until after all the Dark Danny BS.) and Sam is made less of a Mary Sue... I like the sound of that.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.

Boy, after you watch an episode with him, make sure to ram your head into a brick wall to forget it, or play in traffic. That works too.

Who in their cotton pickin' minds thought this was a good idea? He not only has an incredibly vexatious voice, but seems to be flanderized Cosmo on steroids. The trailer has him mistaking poof for a chew toy for God's sake.

Sparky actually barely has any sort of role in the episodes I've seen. He's usually there to make a few jokes and could easily be replaced. Its not like when Poof debuted and a majority of episodes after focused on him.Sparky is actually more pointless then expected, which actually makes me hate him more since it makes me wonder why they need to add him in the 1st place when he adds nothing to the show.
