I kind of feel the same way. I mean, aside from pink hair nothing really stands out about her. And pink hair really isn't that interesting. She seems to have some kind of cute fashion sense with the little skull on her glove, but STILL, not really interesting. Just another girl fighter, ya know? I already feel like Hitomi filled that slot as the "normal" girl.
Now I really wish Vanessa Lewis was in this. She'd probably be one of the most unique women in the cast, relatively speaking.
Mila kind of rides her thunder fighting style wise though. But yeah if she were in I could have her and Rachel tag team as team amazon.
We're getting new costume sets for practically everyone, alongside the new characters, if we pre-order Last Round.
Someone try telling me that Tina's Showstopper outfit doesn't qualify as a Gender-Inverted Example of Walking Shirtless Scene.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.So... Hinoka's gimmick is she's a ditto mime fighter. I really hope she's not the Changes styles every round
... That glove's red aura looks suspicious. You don't think...?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Okaaay, well, I think it's possible that she's more like a Dural style ditto fighter rather than a Mokujin style, using moves from all characters. That would also make her like Raidou, since apparently he copies a lot of other fighters' moves, but I'm guessing Honoka would have a different move set.
Which leads to my next theory, that Honoka might actually be some kind of new lab experiment like Alpha, just unaware. Or maybe that glove is cursed.
By the way, Team Ninja posts videos on their youtube showcasing some of the new costumes. Some are looking cool. Jacky's new costume has been revealed and it is...not what I expected:
Yeah what is even going on there? They always give Jacky dorky alternate costumes though, his only good ones were the tank top + cargo combo(though a shirtless option of that like in VF 5 would've been nice) and his casual one with the jeans and jacket. Sarah on the other hand gets good ones all over.
I think his previous costumes have been fine. I don't really like the black trenchcoat costume, but I do like the DLC costume he got in the casual pack. This one is certainly...weird looking, and something I'd expect Zack to wear, but on the other hand at least Jacky is finally shirtless.
Hmm I didn't get the DLC ones so I haven't seen it. I'll take a look on the DOA wiki.
It is a more fitting costume for Zack yeah. Oh I wonder what insanity they have for him?
She does the Wacha punch!
and if your wondering whats with the Cow theme...
Ummm Honoka is biggest... Yes bigger then Tina and Rachel
Granted I do kinda find her adorable

... Wait, what? Honoka is bigger than Tina and Rachel?! What have her parents been feeding her??? And what was Tecmo thinking, anyway?
Anyway, am I the only who noticed that she seems to change styles mid-fight? It became rather obvious during her fight with Ein, when she switched from some Drunken Master-like style to Jan Lee's wushu style.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Milk apparently I mean thats Kaguya's answer◊ she drinks alot of milk... and She's called the Moo Princess for some reason.
Maybe they were holding it in after making petite Maria Rose?
From what I gather she is more like Necrid/Duval
IE she has an amalgam of moves but its not randomized
So she can switch it up... but she has mostly concrete arsenal

And according to her DOA Wiki article, the copied moves are apparently inferior in power compared to the originals, making her kinda like Shingo Yabuki from The King of Fighters (he has a self-taught, flame-less imitation of Kyo Kusanagi's Magatama fighting style).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. That makes sense you have to give her some type of Trade off
I worry about Honoka. How old is she, because back in the Itagaki days, Tecmo pre-merger couldn't tell how old the teenage women were in the West because they were extremely sexualized?
She wears a high schoolgirl outfit as her default, so she couldn't be older than Kasumi and Ayane, both of whom were 16/17 when they debuted.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. It says she's 18 in her trailer. I think all characters are at least 18 from now on. And yes, Honoka does appear to take moves from it looks like Jann, Brad, Tina, and Bass, and I think maybe I saw one from Lei Fang as well.
Here's a link to a list of her "stolen" moves

Lurker ExtraordinaireNot digging how lazy these "new" LR characters seem.
Now we have 3 hodgepodge fighters.
Three? Who's the third one?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Alpha
Last Round is out now. I ordered it from Amazon, but it won't get here until Saturday. In the meantime, I'll be playing Core Fighters on PS 4. Wish it didn't take so long to install though.
On a different note, I've been watching a playthrough of DOA Dimensions and I honestly must say I think that game does a good job of teaching the game mechanics in the story mode by essentially breaking them down into quick time events. I'm really surprised that more games haven't tried it, just seems like a no brainer.
They don't do that probably because people hate Quick Time Events in their fighting games.
Well, it could always just be an option to toggle on and off during story mode. I think fighting games fans sometimes get too closed off in their own bubbles and can't see things from the perspective of a fighting game newbie. Most video games in general do have levels designed to help teach players how to play, wheareas I think practically all other fighting pretty much expect you to figure things out on your own and just give an easier AI.
I realize this is a holdover from the arcades, but even some arcade fighters actually gave instructions in the attract mode.
It's pretty underwhelming after the build up though. I was expecting something... actually interesting.
