Why didn't Hayate scream HADOUKEN!!!! on that final blow?

Series could use an image makeover... maybe it will get one now that Iga is gone.

They may have already started.

Before, the two fighting would have probably been Kasumi and Ayane.

That fact that they're showing Ryu and Hayate could mean that they're pushing away from all the gratuitous fanservice.

Which is a good thing, as far as I'm concerned.

Also, I don't think I saw anybody get countered. LOL

I like to imagine the fight starting over Hayate aping Ryu's latex look.

No, they're not getting away from the Fanservice. The very next thing they showed at TGS 2011 was close ups of Kasumi's... body. Hot and sweaty, with beads of sweat dripping down her... um... I forgot what I was taking about.

I always hated how Kasumi got all the love from Team Ninja. Ayane is just so much cooler. This is coming from someone who likes redheaded heroes too.

Funny, most people I know who play DOA IRL don't play it for the fanservice. And actually there was a counter in the trailer, unfortunately. Hayate did one on Hayabusa.

What was the Zero Punctuation when Yahtzee starts getting entranced, slowly zooming in on his raptured face as he says something like "being forced to stare at their curvacious breasts ... as it slowly zooms in on their milky flesh..." before snapping out of it?

Am I the only one who doesn't find the DOA girls...like all that hot? I mean they look like standard hentai characters in terms of body appeal. To me the most appealing aspects of them are their costumes and moves. Maybe I'm just desensitized being an anime fan.

DOA girls look like they're molded out of plastic in the newer games. Maybe it will be less so in 5.

Counters are OK, DOA just went a little nuts making them too good in the past. Hopefully they've done something with it in the new one.

Well, considering that Tomonobu Itagaki is no longer with Tecmo and Team Ninja, maybe they'll focus more on substance instead of style this time around. Dimensions had favorable reviews for the most part and it actually managed to tie together Ninja Gaiden (both the NES trilogy and the current-gen titles) with DOA and iron out most of the continuity creases. Granted, hot, curvy females fighters in outfits of various degrees of scantiness is this series' main draw...

Where's Itagaki now?

Apparently he was working on a new game, but it got cancelled I think.

Apparently left the company because boss wasn't giving him promised extra money or something o-o Forgot why. Hes working on new company on game called... Well, read yourself.

Normally, I'd ditch a series once its creator ceases to have anything to do with it. DOA is the exception because Itagaki kept making the characters nothing more than wanking material. Granted, I never thought the cast had much in the way of personality in the first place but dammit, I appreciated the fighting and backstories much more than the tits.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma was not with Itagaki, and the biggest feature? Sixaxis breast control.

Dead or Alive 5 is boobtastic.
