What should the next Doctor look like?

Some suggested Ian Mc Kellen, but I doubt he could take both the shooting and the promotional pace... Plus, he's doing Vicious on ITV.

I think that whoever plays the next Doctor should dig up and wear the Sixth Doctor's rainbow coat.

And the Fourth Doctor's epic scarf.

I think the 12th should be black and lesbian.

12 should be an Elizabethan Black Lesbian with a fez and a wrist-watch.

I second the Victorian vibe. Asides from taht, I don't really mind.

I think it should be Cillian Murphy. See his other roles and he could pull this off.

Well I guess now we know. So, what should the 13th Doctor look like?

Like a floating cloud of miasma.

I demand a top hat. 11 should have kept his from the Snowmen. Barring that, I expect it will be fairly simple- suit, maybe a waistcoat or ascot, but I really want to see Capaldi in purple for whatever reason. But no bowties whatsoever. I want him to regenerate and find himself disgusted with the things for added irony.

Some variety of mask. Possibly made of some form of bone, chitin, coral or other semi-organic semi-crystalline matrix.

It'd be new for the show at least. The Sycorax don't count because they suck. Lets go for it.

Hat would be nice. Maybe a cane too - and maybe a cravat? Yes, cravat and waistcoat... ♣

We've done Cravat and Waistcoat before. Twice if we count John Hurt.

What manner of clothes would go with bone/whatever mask? And how would he wear the mask? I imagine he wouldn't want to wear it all the time, its harder to emote in a mask which is why superheroes are always taking their masks off whenever they can.

Preferably some manner of period dress, corset, gorget, headdress and so on. And she's be able to emote with her voice. And her shadow.

I don't know if the show would go for the shadow thing, it seems like it would add considerably to the special effects budget of every episode.

They'd compensate by making all of the other special effects really crap.

I mean, an entire season with nothing but a role of bubble wrap and duct tape for the effects that weren't shadow related.

You're not really selling me on this. Tell me more.
