Alright, who's bright idea was it to have two video-game-related websites with names that are so similar that you could go from one to the other simply by switching two letters? It's annoying as hell when you're trying to go to the game review site and go to the game store site instead, or vice-versa.

I'm not sure which came first, but whenever you start a company, it's a good idea to check if there are any other companies in the industry with similar names.

I think you're kinda blowing this out of proportion. It's just a name, after all. And it makes sense if you think about them. GameStop is a store you swing by to buy games, whereas GameSpot does features and news about games.

Gamestop is the spot to buy games at, Gamespot is where to stop for reviews. Or, go to gamesopt.com if you opt to play some flash games.
