I don't know why I even bothered to post them. They just......weren't good. Tbh, I should kept my ideas to myself.
I mean really? Raccoon? Pointless gorn. Same goes for Shang and any demise. The two song fics were just pointless and the Dimisly was as well. I'm not even going to try anymore.
Okay.
I wish you better luck in your future endeavors, whatever they might be.
Though, if it's any consolation, in writing you have to fail before you succeed. Most of the time.
It used to be a not uncommon practice that successful authors would buy up every copy of their first releases that they could find and destroy them. Or so I've heard.
I don't think I will try. I'll just leave them on my laptop. Maybe just send them to friends if they ask.
Is this because of the feedback you got in the other thread?
If so, relax. The first things everybody writes tend to be pretty bad. If you enjoy doing it, keep on writing and trying to get better, don't just quit.
Be not afraid...I just. I don't know anymore.
Writing, like everything else worth doing, is hard. First attempts usually fail, and hard.
If you enjoy writing, then keep at it. Don't worry about showing it to anyone for a while.
If you really don't like writing, then there's no shame in finding something else you enjoy.
I do love it, its just I get ideas and they're all awesome in my head, but if I write them down. It's not the same.
^Yep, that's the way it works. The better you get, the closer what's on the page matches what's in your head. But it'll never be a 100 percent conversion rate.
Look at it this way. Your tastes in fiction have had years to develop. Your writing craft has had only a few hours/days (I don't pretend to know what amount of work you've really done). Writing skill has a long way to go before it catches up with your sensibilities, your developed taste.
True. Out of curiosity, did anyone get a chance to read Raccoon before it was gone.
If you want it critiqued some more you will have to make the text accessible somehow.
Uncle Drunkie's Writer/Critic Dating Service thread is thataway

I'd advise that Drunk's thread is not useful for anything short of a serious work with several thousand words. For any other purposes, such as screening ideas, concepts and short excerpts, the Troper Critique Club is far more useful.
Support Taleworlds! You refer to your stories by title, as if you expect us to know them. Your vague descriptions simply aren't enough. I myself am writing a fic at present, my first, and even if it isn't especially good, it's still an experience I'm learning from.
Yeah...first stuff you ever write always sucks. I'd like to think that what I'm writing now is ok, but I got the 'sucks' stage out of the way in third through sixth grade (I will always remember that creative writing teacher with kindness in my heart) and looking at that stuff makes me cringe.
Shinigan (Naruto fanfic)Sad for you?
I know what you're problem is: you're not completely silencing the editor while you write, and/or you're not allowing yourself to write shitty first drafts.
If you're showing people your first drafts, chances are most people won't like it, and will point out tons of flaws. That's what workshops and critiques are for.
You're going to have to build up a sort of rhino skin against what you and others have to say about your work. Some of what's said may be justified, but you can't take everything to heart, otherwise you'll be thinking that you're the best thing since sliced bread that everyone hates.
What exactly is being asked for here? 'cuz I'm not really clear on what I'm supposed to be offering in this thread.
Nous restons ici.I've wondered if I shouldn't delete my earliest story, too. But why should I?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyThat's nice, dear.
Just as it says. I deleted every fic on my account for ff.net
