Dumbing of Age

I preferred to leave my door open to be socially available (but I ended up not doing that much, because the door was really heavy and hung so that it wanted to close), and hardly anybody came by, but then I didn't have "just drop by" friends (or friends in general) and I didn't have a suite.

I can't tell if this Faz is more or less annoying than his shortpacked counterpart?

Also is Faz supposed to be...special, because some of his behavior is kinda off (running around the dorm like a kid with severe ADHD)

.....is that how it's pronounced? I've always gone with "ann-e-may".

Trying to convey English phonetics with written language is kind of a fool errand but, yeah, you are wrong, at last if you are trying to pronounce it the Japanese way. It is A-Ni-Me, with the A being an "ah", the 'ni' being a short "nee" and the "me" being a "may" without the Y sound in the end.

I am not sure where Mary or Malaya got that "aw" in the start, but maybe it is just them trying to approach the 'A' sound.

Yeah, Mary's trying way too hard to pronounce the word like it sounds in Japanese and Malaya's over-exaggerating it to call out how dumb it sounds.

It's funny when it happens to Mary, but Malaya is still an insufferable jerk who does not deserve any of the people putting up with her.

Of course, anime is a Japanese shortening of the English word animation, so I don't think it's a problem if English speakers pronounce it like the first half of the word animation.

Malaya being her insufferable jerk self to Mary is not something I ever knew I needed. This is amazing.
