Not Gilligan Cut. Not Gory Discretion Shot, but. Like, it cuts from Sal with her arm around that kid's neck, immediately to a "snap" sound effect.
Not as angry as the name would suggest.
It'd be a very good use of a jump cut, I'll give it that (and I just got back from a video production class where we were talking all about cuts).
That said...with so much emphasis being placed on Sal having committed armed robbery, it'd be a pretty big deal to add murder to her rap sheet, and from her pre-pubescent days, no less.
