Just FYI it bugs me when Walk does it too. It's just a pet peeve.

Carla does kind of have a point about demographics still I'm imagining they are going to be arguing for a while. Though I don't think calling Walky's show a "Dumb baby show" would really result in anything but an argument.

So basically the Ultra Car cartoon is like Young Justice?

[up] I mean, Walky did insult her show first, so.... :/

If it's a reference to Young Justice it's off the mark. Greg Weisman debunked that rumor.

I'm guessing it's not a reference to young justice, just a general broad strokes take on how shows work.

Yeah it's a pretty common issue.

Yes that he did.

Hmm. I guess it's probably not a reference to anything specific then, just a general trend. (Darn, [nja]'d)

I kind of want to watch the Ultra Car cartoon. Seems like it had interesting themes. I also kind of still want to watch Dexter and Monkey Master. tongue

I wonder what Joyce would have to say about this. On the one hand, she's a fan of Dexter, and would resent being called a dumb baby. On the other hand, that would mean having to side with Walky.

Becky would loudly scream "Hymmel motherfudgers!" and then body slam Walky.

[up][up]I'm guessing she'd have to be shown an episode of Ultra Car before she could offer an opinion.

Billie doesn't pay much attention to people does she? In that she calls Marcie a little kid, despite by all accounts being someone around the same age as them and not even that short.

I think a better analog for Ultra Car than Young Justice would be Freakazoid. That was a show that was definitely doing better with adults than children, and was just a bit too clever and self-indulgent in its highbrow references.

So this reads like a debate between an Animaniacs fan and a Freakazoid fan.

Why not both?

Speaking as someone who watched both: Freakazoid sucked, and anyone who believes otherwise, let alone anyone who believed it to be better than Animaniacs, is delusional.

At best, delusional.

Maybe Becky could live with Joyce's folks. Hank's on her side more or less and while Mrs Brown ...isn't great it's better than getting stabbed under an overpass.

It would. That's why I was so sure things would go wrong, and why I was convinced she was going to live with Marcie.

At this point I'm guessing it's either Leslie, or whatever bad thing happens to Ruth this chapter lets Becky stay a while longer.

Why can't she just stay with Billie and Sal? Just take the floor.
