Ok, I rewrote the first couple of sentences: A) a "merry band of travelers" is now optional, B) type of place is less specific, C) shore leave (or other temporary visitation) no longer required, and D) "you didn't mean [it]" is now "you may not have meant [it]", since I don't think that's an actual requirement.
I was hoping to find a Mistakes Were Made trope, but I couldn't track the right one down. Oh well. :)
