There have been lots of little Let's Play topics across the forum, but I thought I'd establish a general Let's Play talk topic. Talk about who you're watching, who your favorites are, pimp your own liveblogs or Let's Plays, and any general Let's Play-related chatter.

1up posted a very interesting discussion on the phenomenon, gets some commentary from popular L Pers on what they think makes L Ps good, and then talks about their own upcoming fan-walkthrough center. I think it's kind of an interesting article on the whole "spectator gaming" phenomenon.

Also, allow me to pimp my Ufouria liveblog. It has piiiiictuuuures! [tongue]

I'll admit that I'm not to big on Let's Plays, but I do like watching Kikoskia.

EDIT: And the Team Four Star LP's.

I've thought about doing LP's, but then I have to remind myself that no one'd watch them, which pretty much ruins the point of making an LP in the first place.

Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.

Behold epic necro powers!

If I had the money to afford the software/hardware involved for a video LP, I'd consider doing one or two myself. Speaking of which, I need to get back to my Might And Magic VI liveblog. Been six months since I touched it. sad

In terms of watching, I like the whole racing concept that's sprung up recently. In general, I do prefer collabs to single person LPs, and I'm not a big fan of any particular active LPer at this point. (My personal favorite of all time is a lesser known dude named RPGenie, who gave up on making them 2-3 years ago.)

I'm watching brisulph, used to watch roundthewheelrtw, and I'm waiting for Total Biscuit and Jesse Cox' Terraria LP to start up again.

As far as making my own stuff goes, I'd rather do playthroughs with commentary on the side.

Chipcheezum and GeneralIronicus are easily my favorite L Pers, and personally the best out there.

I love co-ops, but I wish non-race co-ops were a bit more popular. I am enjoying Super Mario Galaxy Vs. right now, though.

My friends and I have been trying to make Live Group Commentary Let's Plays for a while now, but have had trouble with the recording. But now we seem to have figured things out, so here's hoping that by the end of the month we'll have a couple of episodes of Let's Play Clock Tower 3 up on Youtube.

Oh, and my favourites are Deceased Crab and pokecapn (with crew).
