It seems to be a toy trope. We don't really have a whole hell of a lot of toy pages now do we?
Fight smart, not fair. And if you'll note, most of those are about the shows.
Fight smart, not fair.Yep all those are pretty much just an index of Merchandise-Driven stuff... woefully incomplete too.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!A few of them are just toys, though. Off the top of my head, LEGO (and everything under that), Nerf Brand, Furby, and I'm sure there are a few others. The list could use some cutting down of the things that are just Merchandise-Driven, though.
If they are Merchandise-Driven they really should have their own page on the.. well... Toys in the Toys namespace. Especially if they have their own continuity. (even though this page right now is completely about advertising flubs and mistakes.)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Also, some of the things like Barbie and Transformers have subthings that are shows, comics, whatever, but the main page is properly Toys because the franchise taken as a whole revolves around the toys. There's plenty of Transformers toy-only characters and fiction, for instance.

Apparently I am adorable, but my GF is my #1 Groupie. (Avatar by Dreki-K)Even if ads violate a series' continuity, ads themselves are not a continuity. Delete this one.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.
Advertising-Only Continuity has a whopping zero wicks, and this is after it was renamed from Plot Sold Separately. The example list is also very puny.
Seriously, if a trope has ZERO wicks, I have to doubt that it's even a trope. Shall we cutlist?
