Regarding Karina's concerns: any maid who hasn't been too traumatized to follow the conversation about who is doing what where might realize that there there are three missing pieces from the small board (black queen, white queen, white rook) and they think there are three other people down here with them other than The Doctor (Agent Ape, Hitsugi and Ms. Fruitorange.) Of course, it appears that the white pieces are the ones most likely to let you advance from this side of the room to the other, so the missing black queen is a bit of a mystery... or is it? O_O

The maids contemplating the game board can see that neither Junko nor Karina are in immediate danger - and on black's turn Karina might be able to just step backwards off the board (assuming that doesn't trigger some sort of weird death trap). After all, the black queen is missing too, unlike one of the black knights that clearly looks like it tried to tangle with an 800 lb gorilla. The maid's options seem to be A) move another white piece by selecting another 'player', B) have Junko move again, or C) try to grab another black piece and then do either A or B.

Well, since Karina succeeded at both rolls she can actually think and act fast enough to go more or less where she wants (if she wants to.) Most of her possible moves would expend the black side's turn without putting the other maids in any more danger. Alternately, she could press her luck and see if it's possible to get off the board, now that she's on the other side of the room...
