Obviously, CONTAINS SPOILER!

Modern Warfare 2, in my opinion, has the most epic ending ever and is the biggest Crowning Moment Of Awesome in any media.

Seriously, fucking awesome.

Either way, I refuse to class a Motive Rant + Eye Scream as "the most epic ending ever and [the] biggest Crowning Moment of Awesome in any media." Call Of Duty 4 had a more epic ending than that.

[up][up]Eh, Soap was much more awesome in the ending for the second game, in my opinion. He recovered from even more shit to finish off the Big Bad. Not that the first game's ending is shabby/not-awesome at all.

I just find this whole throwing and hitting someone in the eye, with the knife that he pulled out of his own chest to be testosterone overloadingly awesome.

Well excuse me for preferring a proper gunfight to an interactive cutscene.

[up] I personally think that no gunplay can top that, interactive or not, especially when that scene is played by this music composed by Hans freaking Zimmer:

I liked Co D when it was more Tom Clancy than James Bond.

I don't think it's all that good. MW 2's ending is cinematic, but mediocre, scripted, and pseudo-interactive.

EPIC.

Even if it were just a complete cutscene, it still would be, at least in my book, the most badass ending ever.

It's sort of silly.

MW 1 had a really badass ending, but it actually made sense. It also had the advantage of not just being backstab after backstab after backstab.

Yeah it was a cool ending IMO.

I never really got the hate for this game. Its a good game, I CAN find why people may find it a bit annoying at times, but still, I cant help but think than the game dosnt deserves so much crap (Then again, I may be a bit biased since its one of my very first FPS. Not that I dont know about them, thougt...)

In fact, apparently, from what I know, most of the hate comes from the fanbase itself, ya know, the fabled "12 years old" (something the company has absolutly no way to control AT ALL), and the awy their are making "cash ins" sequels (And I actually agree with this... they are making lots of call of duties that are "exactly the same" as their prequels except with few improvements... care to explain why this is bad at all? Besides it only seems few improvements when they are actually a lot. Ok, maybe not " a lot", but a respectable number of stuff. It COULD be a bit better, yeah maybe thats true, but whatyagoonna do...)

Yes, it may be a bit way too cinematic, yes, the multiplayer can get a bit annoying and cheap at times, but was it fun? In my case, YES. And what are games for? FUN- and this game did deliver it.

Also, people claimming than they enjoined a certain COD while making the statament of "THE NEXT ONE SUCKS BECAUSE ITS THE SAME CRAP", make me laugh... way to contradict yourself in very few seconds right there. If you enjoined, say, COD 6, then why you hate 7 if it is exactly the same then? (Witch isnt even true) WTF? Were is the logic in that.

I do respect people who do have opinions about disliking actually logical stuff, like the gameplay itself. Everyone is different, after all.

I apogalize for my fail english-bye.

Wait, why do people hate it for being cinematic? sad

Possibly because it takes control away from the player, or it forces the experience for people who couldn't give 2 shits about the story (like myself).

Other reasons I've seen people hate Co D is because they find no replay value in it. Or more importantly, every damn game trying to copy it's formula including it's boring-ass aesthetics, which I completely agree on that point.

Yes, but that's the only aesthetic many of them attempt.

And it gets boring.

Painfully so.

It seems we can either have a grey/beige/brown/khaki palette or brightly colored stylized ones these days.

Why is there no in between?
