Chaos

Chaos is a show that aired and ended this year. In fact, here's the link to the Wikipedia article on it.

I watched this show and I personally thought the show was entertaining. I mean, the Central Intelligence Agency having to handle politics and four agents who break the rules to get results. Well, it started out as three, but poor, naive Martinez was assigned to them to be The Mole, and the three of them compromised him into joining their activities.

Also, I thought it was so weird that some of the episodes were aired completely out of order.

The show also had a big question left hanging. At the end of one episode, NCS Deputy Director Adele Ferrer has Martinez come with her as she drives home. She thinks that someone might be following her. She gets home without incident and Martinez tells her that he didn't see anybody following them. So she goes into the house and he takes off. A short time later, a black car drives slowly in front of her house, and a combination of lights and darkness prevent you from being able to see who is in that car. Which leads to the big question: who are they and why are they following her? If this show had not been cancelled after one season, maybe that question would have received an answer.

I liked it but not enough. I think it would have been better set either during the Cold War or just after it ended.

It was also interesting how one episode of Chaos has Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys being played straight. Then again, it was an American show, and it was probably showing American opinions of France.
