Something has been bugging me for a long time. When I go online to read the F-Zero pilot's profiles there is always a bunch of stuff that seems to be totally made up mixed in there. Like how Falcon's name is actually Douglas Jay Falcon and that he was a member of the Internova police force with his partner Samurai Goroh. Tanaka worked under Masson Summer, Jody's dad, who was the inventor of the G-Diffuser system. The Skull's real name is Sterling LaVaughn and Mrs. Arrow's maiden name is Monique L'amoreaux. The thing is I have read every F-zero manual ever made and scoured the web looking for a source for this "information" and I am convinced that somebody just wrote some fanon one day and pretended it was canon, because none of this crap is ever cited.
I know Captain Falcon's name is Douglas Jay Falcon. They mention them in F-Zero GX.
They have full character bios in F-Zero GX.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAnd absolutely none of the information I have listed comes from the profiles from F-Zero GX ,least of all Falcon's full name.

Maybe it was Super Smash Bros. trophy. I remember Captain Falcon's full name listed in one of his trophies in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureNope. Neither Melee nor Brawl nor the 3DS nor the Wii U version of Smash Bros. ever gives Falcon's full name.
It's from the shut-down official English website for X.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Do we have a backup of the site somewhere? Or someplace that has the character profiles from that site written down somewhere? Does this site have bios taken straight from the website or is it just made up nonsense? What about this place?
Google Cache or the Wayback Machine might be able to get that old site for you.
Tried with no luck.
If Miyamoto is so hurting for new F-Zero ideas, why can't we just get the Track Builder feature that's only accessible by hacking in X?

Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756Maybe they could make an F-Max game, staring the Skull pre-skeletonization. I am hopeful that the new anti-gravity schtick in Mario Kart 8 and this in particular is them testing the waters to see if there is any desire for a new F-Zero.
At this point I'd settle for GX HD.
wouldn't even cost much, Nintendo.
I sure said that!Six pages and no one's posted any of the amazing time trial runs in GX?
Well, for starters, this video shows what GX is capable of when you push it to the absolute limit via a TAS:
Yeah.
We really need a new F-Zero game.
Varśnāmi, nūdhrēmnāyīm eyī —"With the pen, I reach satisfaction"It's only sort of related to F-Zero, but sometime in the early part of this year a new vehicle is going to attempt to break the world land speed record. At present the record is 1,228 km/hr or just over Mach 1. The new vehicle hopes to break 1,690 km/hr or Mach 1.38.

Now onto adding in real life G-Diffusers.
And again, I really hope that the F-Zero DLC in MK 8 is them hinting at a new entry coming soon. I've seriously waited over a decade for a new one (this series is the only pure racing franchise I've enjoyed).
According to the F-Zero X manual there are two basic components to an F-Zero machine. First is the G-Diffuser, which allows the machine to float above the ground and also acts to reduce the g-forces on the pilot so they aren't turned into pudding during the race. The second component are the plasma engines. Basically the engine takes a propellent, heats it up until it becomes ionized, then uses magnets to fire it out the back at speeds of about 7 km per second. The thing is, you can use basically anything you want as a propellant, from gas mixtures to astronaut urine. (They plan to use this type of engine in space, hence why they want it to use astronaut urine.) Each and every F-Zero pilot can use whatever they want as a propellant in their machine. If Billy really wanted to he could literally have his machine powered by bananas.
Souls are apparently also a functional source, according to The Skull's profiles.
I sure said that!wouldn't even cost much, Nintendo.
wouldn't they have to ask Sega first?
I wonder if they even have the source code anymore
Enjoyment and Excitement!Nintendo's usually pretty smart about retaining rights to collaborative projects- So long as they give credit to Sega and Amusement Vision, I think they're legally covered.
I sure said that!Well, Amusement Vision went under, so it's all up to Sega.
And the full recreation of Port Town: Aero Dive from GX is still around in Smash U, meaning Nintendo likely has all rights to it.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Would character themes be an issue though? Those sure weren't in Brawl or U.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterVery doubtful- The tracks are all on one soundtrack collection, so the reason there's no pilot themes in Smash is because Sakurai decided not to import theme for whatever reason.
I sure said that!So not only does Mario Kart has anti-gravity and that Mute City track, it now has a hyper-fast 200cc mode:
Dammit. That was like the last thing separating Mario Kart from F-Zero. And then this happens...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the technological advancements made since the Gamecube should already be enough justification for a new F-Zero.
I mean, really, even if we can't get one on Wii U, can we at least get one on the 3DS? Or maybe the New 3DS? I'd totally buy a New for F-Zero.
