No the kid is the good and better half of the original God Aesir. The other inferior half is the final boss.
Balder is the Masked Lumen and the two team up near the end to defeat the villain and the Angels and Demons who are working together. The reason Balder is the way he is in the first game is due to have trapped the final boss in his body.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.:[
Idk if I really like that.
It kind of sours Balder's character a bit for me. But i never liked him being the Masked Sage honestly.
Loki doesn't seem too bad though. I won't lie, travelling with Bayo through the city between her breasts seems like it'd be awesome. Better than Cereza for sure.

Wait, Baldur pulls a Heel–Face Turn? Or am I misunderstanding your post?
Basically He was Brainwashed and Crazy due to becoming the can for the evil half of Aesir.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.x5 Yeah, that's her JP voice.
Umbran Climax◊Also known as Motoko Kusanagi.
Watch SymphogearGotta say it doesn't sound quite as hype during battle.
Her English voice sounds just as good though, love it.
admittedly I thought the first(not prologue) boss was kind of disappointing. Also a few of the new enemies at least in the start seemed kind of underwhelming and the two piston fisted dude was reminded me too much of Beloved. I guess they get more interesting later on since it's only the early game...but Vigrid seemed like a better designed level even if aesthetically not as pleasing.
Honestly that water dragon fight seemed kind of boring. Too drawn out and repetitive. Fortitudo was better looking I thought.
Masked Lumen Sage is incredible though. While I don't like the more gimmicky aspects of the fight(flying looks janky and the punch fest is silly) the rest of it and sheer scale makes it epic.
Inferno is massively disappointing though. Well actually the first part, the depths were a lot better. Somehow though I was expecting it to be a bit more intense looking aesthetically. Like how Paridiso had overwhelming beauty, but with overwhelming dread instead. But it just felt bleak and icky. Sloth is awesome though.

Very conflicted about Grace and Glory coming back. On one hand, I get to fight them again! On the other hand, I have to fight them again...
Those chapters really seem like a case of YMMV whether they're good or kind of where the game dips a bit.
And oh jeez, the final boss has got to be one of the worst final boss designs in any game oh my god. Ending was pretty neat though. It'd be a real shame if those ending costumes aren't playable.
Loki turned out pretty well actually, ended up liking him quite a bit. The main villain was weaksauce though and his design was awful, I get the triangle symbolism but the thong? The lipstick? The 2nd phase of the final boss looked really intense actually, like blader on steroids although I don't like how they kept calling back to the fight since it was already done with the final masked sage battle. Now Balder? Guy has proven himself to be one of the best characters in Bayonetta 2nd only to Bayo herself. I always liked him for his boss battle in the first game but here he continues to rack up the badass points, him being the masked sage doesn't bother me so much now lol. Can't forget that You May Call Me Father is still the best boss piece in either game. Luka is well luka and Jeanne getting reduced to a damsel sidekick really sucked. TBH the saving Jeanne plot felt somewhat unsatisfying as Alraune didn't seem all that important in the grand scheme of things and had a rather vague objective, like she wanted revenge on M. Butterfly so kidnapped Jeanne or wantedf to rull Inferno? Idk not a very well fleshed character.
I wonder though why Platinum actually put MORE gimmick levels in this time around? That was probably the most divisive thing about the first game and we got it yet again not to mention underwater segments which don't seem to add all that much. I know some people dig it but Bayomecha kind of jumped the shark for me. It felt like it belonged in another game even for Bayo and I don't see anything stopping Platinum from making a good mecha action game now that I think about it. Fighting Sapentia in it was kind of cool though.

I was listening to that when my sister just came in. Apparently, she recognizes a different version of that song and proceeded to be really weirded out by me and this "dance-mix-y" interpretation.
Like FMTTM it's an old song and was famously sung in Breakfast At Tiffany's.
I never saw that movie but the yellowface totally killed any interest I would've had, which considering the kind of movie it is wouldn't have been much to begin with lol.
I still think Bayo 1's Fly Me to The Moon kicks the crud out of it(and one of the best tracks in either game) but it's not a bad remix at all. I know I prefer Bayo's FMTTM WAY more than Sinatra's and the original.
Yeah Bayo's take on Moon Drifter is actually pretty solid. It's growing on me :]

When does that play?
Not enough from what I watched. Instead we got the mehish regular battle theme a lot. Tomorrow is Mine is just flat out corny.
"Tomorrow is Mine" is alright as far as Bayonetta's concerned, but… "Fly Me to the Moon."
The bang bang line is just awful and unlike Destiny the lyrics are sung more clearly and poppy which only further highlights how "uplifting middle school suburban girl" they sound. I know it's supposed to represent how Bayo's character has developed to being a free woman who decides her own destiny and has defied fate to choose her own path but they're so chalkfull of narm it'd make Owl City blush.
Eh I'd say some narm is part of the experience when it comes to a Platinum game so I'm ok with that.
There's a limit though. Cheesy is good, but corny is narm to toxic levels.
I'm fine with cheese on my pizza(who isn't?) but corn is where you need to stop and rethink your life choices.
Plus I'd like one of the songs we'd hear most to be actually good.
I'm okay with "Tomorrow is Mine" and "Moon River" is neat but they don't come close to "Fly Me to the Moon." Of course, pretty much no song does but whatever.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Hey, I love 'Tomorrow is Mine'.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectMeh, life's too short for me to dislike something with that kind of poppy.
"Fly Me To The Moon" is always awesome. See; Evangelion.
Still though, the fact that "Tomorrow Is Mine" is so unbelievably cheesy is why I enjoy it so much. It's called Narm Charm for a reason after all.
Bayonetta 2 Costumes. Relatively spoiler free save for past the 12:00 mark.
Overall. there's less unique costumes, but majority have a varient version.
I never noticed the chain chomp on the Zelda one before. I like it.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
They're magic?
Is that using the JP voices? Bayo's voice clips seem more subdued in battle. Man I gotta watch this game in full.
So the kid is the final boss? What's the story?
Also digging the twin katanas. So much flashier and fluid than the one from the first game.
