So any and every thing people don't like about Bayo2 will of course now be...
Oh joy.
edit: x5 Have Sega and Platinum had any clashes beyond what's in that article?

Sega refused to have Bayonetta be Xbox exclusive like Kamiya wanted it to be and gave the coding to a smaller company, resulting in a rather bad port of the game.
Watch SymphogearPlease let this be good. The last thing we need is people whining about how Nintendo ruined an awesome franchise.
I think he was very well spoken, but I think that he was wrong to say that Platinum jumping over to Nintendo was a case of "you don't love me enough" to the fans.
As has been noted, Platinum changed to Nintendo because Sega was handling them like crap. that has nothing to do with the fans.
It's more like "I'm sorry, I love you, but my job doesn't pay me enough, and I need to move to get a new one. I understand if you don't want to move with me."

Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryAgreed. If anything it's a case of every other studio in the industry not loving them enough to invest in this game.
I also question why he feels the fans shouldn't be thankful for Nintendo making this possible. You really can't credit anyone but them. Platinum wanted to make the game but nobody was willing to fund it. It exists entirely because of Nintendo.

Not purely nintendo. P* still has to make it.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryWell yes but they wouldn't be making it if Nintendo didn't give them money. I'm saying the primary thing that decides whether it gets made (funding) is coming from them so they're primarily responsible for it existing.
I think it was long winded and should have gone straight to the point, but is mostly correct.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackYeah, I like that Nintendo actually seems to, like Valve, see potential in smaller game studios.
Side note:What say you on this guy's opinion of Japan's game industry? To me, he just comes off as a huge Western game fanboy.
Well, the company he was working for before was Capcom who have a history of employee mistreatment and mismanagement. Maybe dealing with a company that saw him as a person and not a resource caught him off guard.
Keiji's Japan-bashing grew tired for me months ago. At first I was glad that he was letting his voice be heard and definitely agree with "Gameplay first" but one look at the western games industry will show you that it's churning out the same thing over and over again just like the Japanese games industry. It's definitely a "Grass is greener on the other side" mentality if you ask me. His call for bigger budgets also freaks me out.
All I can say is... His games better be good.
Considering what That one game he's making having to do with Sacrifice your own bones and organs for attacks sound interesting, as does his collab with Team Ninja For Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.
His king of pirates game looks to much like a One Piece but with Furry animals ripoff for me to care (I hate one piece now for the most part).
He was also the one that got Asura's Wrath off the ground to start with as well. Without that, one of my favorite Action games ever made would of never of been made.

Watch SymphogearSo in context of this whole "exclusivity" debate, nothing seems to be that sacred. I'm guessing this will only add fuel to the fire.
Why would that have any bearing on Bayonetta 2? Mass Effect was never published by Nintendo.
Because Console Wars.
Watch SymphogearBut what does it have to do with Bayonetta 2? Mass Effect Trilogy not being on the Wii U isn't exactly a surprise.
Pretty sure Demon summer it up pretty well actually.
Because It's EA shooting themselves in the foot, and giving The people against Bayonetta 2's Wii U clusiveness more fire.
Watch SymphogearHow does this give them more fire? Nintendo never got involved in Mass Effect. They certainly didn't publish it like Nintendo are doing with Bayonetta.

Probably already posted, but Platinum has come out and flat out said the game wouldn't be going anywhere without Nintendo's help and Nintendo's staff is working on the game with Platinum.
Yep.
Watch SymphogearI'm glad they got out from under Sega's thumb for the most part. I mean, hell, a recent interview had Platinum blaming them for the biggest mistake they ever made.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Yeah, that's gonna spark some more console wars. Hopefully they will not spread here.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackHow is the link and bayonetta picture going?
By the way, I think it should have a Master Chief and the other guy doing the finger rather than giving chocolates.
Considering a lot of people don't realize that Nintendo has been directly involved in a lot of third party developers when they do Wii exclusive games, it will even worse and more laughable then ever.
