Replaced?: Taken For Granite

Alright, was there an IP for this? Cause it sure as hell doesn't say so. I suspect someone changed it without permission.

It looks like it was this pic as far back as we can see. A couple months ago an image pimp switched it to a MLP pic without discussion, then it got switched back. Do you have a suggestion? The current one is...okay, I guess.

Naw, that's all I wanted to know.

It works well enough. I'd like to see a larger version, though.

As far as the Lion Witch and Wardrobe is concerned, I think the shot where the White Witch turned the fox to stone is more evocative. May or may not make a better picture though.

This◊ isnt bad really its on par with the current image.... however both are really crappy, lets see some transformations people!

Whatever you do with the picture, I vote for keeping the caption.

I think the current picture is fine, and I don't think that any of the other suggestions are better.

The image looks like it could just be walking though something like the Terracotta Army. (IE Dragon Quest IX features an entire town constructed out of stone that was made from scratch as a dupe of the original because the artist couldn't go back.)

Showing that a real person is being Petrified is a must for this.

That's quite cool. If he'd give permission, it could work really well.

If not there has got to be something good in Gargoyles or last resort use the terrible art in my Negima anime pic. (It was the only I could think of at the time in color... Black and white manga won't work.)

I'm gonna go ahead and call this one since the last pic's got some support and is much clearer than the current one. It's up, potholed, and tagged; I recycled the old caption. Locking up.

That's not bad, but if it's possible I'd prefer a little tighter crop on the top panel, it's a little hard to see the fox with all of that in the pic. If it can't be done then that pic's fine.

I sorta felt the first panel was important to establish the context. And since the actual transmogrification is occurs blink-and-miss-it quickly, shrinking those panels down somewhat helps reduce the muddy compression artifacts.

I've got my workfiles handy, I could probably crop the first panel a little tighter, though that makes the image a bit taller as a result.
