Yes, Colette's bangs are too uneven.

I'm not, but I found this bottom panel, which is a Hime Cut. I'm guessing that's the one.

[up] Thanks. I can't find any inkling on her background, so I'm just going to assume good faith.

Anyone familiar enough with The Legend Of The Legendary Heroes? I have tried finding pictures of Miran Froward, but none of them can help me tell if it's the actual hairstyle or just long hair with bangs. Also, I know nothing about him.

[up]Here, there does appear to be three distinct lengths. But I don't know how accurate to canon the image is.

Part of the issue is his names seems to actually be Miran Froaude. We're the only ones who call him Froward.

You have got to be kidding me. We might want to change that.

Anyway, he appears to have been adopted into royalty, so he's probably a good example.

I changed it on the page. Yeah, that would be the biggest issue. Adopted royalty is good enough to call him a male example especially when his hair cut is perfect.

Need some help on the following:

The World God Only Knows has five characters listed as HimeCuts.

  • Shiori
  • Tsukiyo
  • Sumire
  • Lune
  • Vulcan
  • Minerva

Of those, only Vulcan appears to have all the necessary traits. Sumire seems to have only two lengths, so I'm removing her. Shiori, Tsukiyo, Lune and Minerva appear to have the style, but I can tell nothing about their traits on the character sheet. Anybody familiar enough?

Also, from To Aru Majutsu No Index and related stuff:

From this page:

  • Ruiko has the hair, but I can see no other traits that have to do with the trope.
  • Kazari's hair doesn't seem appropriate.

From here:

  • Aisa is in fact a Miko, but all pictures I can find of her don't really show three lengths. Can't really say.

And Mitsuko doesn't really look like this trope.

Thank you. Received clarification on the rest from someone who actually knows the series.

Since this just came up, does a Hime Cut have to be bkack/brown or other similar realistic dark colours? With anime hair colours, that doesn't seem to apply.

It's frequently enough blue or purple. I've seen green, but that's not common. Blonde does show up, but that's more often Princess Curls or something similar. Redheads are rare with this hairstyle.

Redheads are rare, though it seems to show up in that colour on kitsune as they have a lot of the traditional elements going. Brown/black/colour standing in for black (blue, green, purple) are going to be the most common.

Touhou:

Star Sapphire does not appear to have any associated traits, and all her images are fanart, making it hard to tell if it's three or two lengths, so I'm thinking of removing.

Thoughts?

Touhou is weird in that it's basically as much fanon as canon. I'd ask someone in the fandom.

The reason why blondes Hime Cut girls exist is because of Phenotype Stereotype British rich girls that play The Ojou stereotype are common in anime and get this. Dark Blue is the most common color besides black, Occasionally you get Dark brown White-Haired Pretty Girl s or Purple hair but red? Nah. Red is used for Dark Skinned Redhead "the protag is different and sporty" and Fiery Red Head types.

These are not that.

I think realistic dark brown hair colour Asians actually have naturally is the most common after black. Like I said, I've only seen red on Kitsune and that's because they tend to get red hair because they're foxes. But because they're so traditional they sometimes get the cut. They an outlier though. An example.

Horo isn't a very straight Trickster Kitsune example Anamorphic Kitsune normally have short hair for some reason.

And brown as a hair color is still pretty rare period because not many get the color right as it looks like mud or crap [1][2] and go for blackish [3][4] or go for an off color [5][6] (all the same character...)

(It could be worse though.... you could have a character with this hair color....

Touhou's Star Sapphire only really counts when she's in a disguise as Kaguya (which only happens in rare fanart, in other words, doesn't count). They're almost idential aside from clothes and size, so she does have the right haircut. Otherwise not really. I'm fine with her removal. Patchouli also has the haircut, but isn't the trope. She's not listed, though.

I just received a PM, and it appears there's an argument over at the Code Geass main character sheet.

The characters originally listed as a Hime Cut were Nunally and C.C.

I removed both, and this was one of my more confident removals, since I'm actually familiar with the show. Nunally does not have this cut in any way, and although C.C kinda has it, there is nothing in her personality about it. She's also not royalty or anything similar.

Thoughts?

Nunally Does not have a single quality for this at all and C.C. umm I can see a case for it... The fact that she is so mysterious makes it murky.
