How about naming it something like Nature By Design, with a soft split between examples of nature being created by entities and examples of entities that actually do the grunt work like the leaf painting and frost scribbling?

I really don't see how this is different from Odd Job Gods, other than the claim of divinity. And in several mythologies, the line between 'spirit' and 'god' is pretty smoky.

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The characters in Alice In Wonderland who were Painting The Roses Red did so to hide the fact that they'd actually planted white roses, didn't they? They didn't make all red roses red, just the ones they were painting. So the Trope Namer itself wouldn't be an example.

Yeah, Painting The Roses Red is a bad name. It sounds like a silly solution to cover up a mistake.

Nature Workers? Basically these are little fairy-like beings who go around doing the job of running nature.

Given the support for a rename, there is now an alternative titles crowner for this trope here. Feel free to add names as you see fit or tell me why it is too soon for a crowner.

While I like Nature Decorator, it kinda reads as going the complete opposite way as to what the trope means when contrasted to the original (mostly because it is so good that it actually sounds like a job, something that you or I could do if we're hired for it). I got the impression that this was about supernatural (for the setting) creatures. What about something like Supernatural Nature Decorator to avoid ambiguities?

I was also thinking something like Nature SFX Fairy, but it also turns the opposite way.

OK well I checked on the crowner a few days ago and it hasn't appeared to change and it's been open for quite a while and the lead has a really good ratio.

Now the top two are similar and then the next two are similar so I'll make a redirect from the top of that second pair as well- Nature Decorator.

I've transferred over the subpages and started on the wicks so if a mod could just please transfer over the discussion page and then pop and lock the thread.
