Agree. Nothing in the picture is being destroyed. Nothing indicates that the male or female will continue past a temporary Anger Riot. The only thing "woobie" about the picture is a girl dying (which can happen to non-woobie characters).
Would fit an "anger transformation" trope better.
I'm fine with it. The aura and the eyes and all, it certainly looks like shit's gonna go down. It works for me, I get the trope from it. However, I'm open to better ideas.
I agree. Shit is clearly about to go down.
Fight smart, not fair.Yes. Any examples should be on the main page, if they're supported. If it's "this person is trying to destroy the world, I think they're a woobie" then that's an interpretation, which can stay on the YMMV.
Fight smart, not fair.I think that the picture works. The trope is "they get pissed and they're trying to fuck everyone up, but they're sad and therefore sympathetic." Key word is trying. Just because they aren't destroying the world doesn't mean they aren't trying.
I think this works. Sad scene, aw, she died, poor him, then, holy shit, bitchin' and somebody is going to get their shit fucked up and their day ruined. Basically, the trope in a nutshell.

I am now known as Flyboy. Now, if only we could find the source...
Fight smart, not fair. It's already potholed to something...
I am now known as Flyboy. What do you know, someone actually found it.
Fight smart, not fair.Keep it. I have no idea what it's from, but it seems to illustrate the point perfectly. That guy does not look merely angry like Berserk Button is supposed to be about. He has horns, Black Eyes of Evil and a magical aura.

I'm reasonably certain that the current image is from a rather extreme hentai game. Inyouchuu, to be specific. Don't know if what actually happens to the character in it qualifies for this trope.
Image is perfect. The guy looks like he's going to tear someone apart, and because of the first panel, we know it's because someone killed the girl (His girlfriend, maybe? I have no idea where the pic is from, so I have no clue). Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds in a nutshell.

I'm fine with the current pic.
While the image does get the idea across, I think it could be done a bit better.
I would suggest Shinji Ikari, as per The End Of Evangelion. "Nobody understands me. Everyone just die."
Alternately, Lucy from Elfen Lied, Mu-12 from Blaz Blue Continuum Shift, The Scarlet Witch, real Overlord Zenon from Disgaea 2 Cursed Memories, or Xion from Kingdom Hearts.

Do you have an image that shows that? The character isn't enough, we need an image that shows it to someone that hasn't seen the work.
Fight smart, not fair. This is true. I'll see if I can find anything, and if I do, I'll link to it.
Thank you. If you want, you can upload it with the image uploader (limit of 350 pixels wide).
Fight smart, not fair.He doesn't look like he qualifies as a woobie...

Please.Maybe something with Vash, from Trigun? Contrast a shot of shirtless with all his gnarly scars visible and a shot of him using the Angel Arm...
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I'm pretty sure Vash isn't an example.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanNeither is Shinji; he's not motivated enough to be a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.
...but he becomes one, all the same.
I... suppose. It depends on the motivation, though; he was a Woobie, and he did end up causing Instrumentality, but was his intention to destroy the world, or was he just broken to the point of apathy?
Very much the latter, to my interpretation.
[/off-topic]
I firmly believe that the current image does not properly reflect the meaning of the trope. Compare the image to Berserk Button and I think you'll find that they are rather alike. While a berserk button can be a part of creating a Woobie, Destroyer Of Worlds, it's not essential and not actually a part of the trope itself.
I am having a hard time wording my thoughts here, but needless to say I think the current picture is inadequate and as such, should be replaced. If you have any arguments against my judgement, then feel free to present them.
