From what I can tell, the reason behind this is that the Index Index is a report that pulls in all wiki articles that are set up as an "index" page type.
Since Index Index is a report and not an article, it can't have a page type, and thus would not show up on the report.
I'm not really sure if there would be any convenient way to get around that. We had to make it a report in the first place simply because the page was getting so large that editing it was causing server problems.

If you're already looking at it, it's surely not hard to find, so I don't really see the point of a self-reference here, except for some obsessive sense of completeness.
Probably the script that creates it could be modified to add it to itself, but why?

If it really bugs you, think of it as an index of normal index pages. Then the only thing to complain about is the name, and we've got plenty of bad names! :)

Considering the large number of threads in Trope Repair Shop and just having gotten back under the limit, I would like to request that mods lock this thread and move it to the repair shop morgue to make room for more threads.

Or you can simply consider that "Index Index" is not an index. Because it isn't. It is a report. And the page does not list reports - it only lists indexes.
I'm not really sure if this even goes here or if I'm just going to be laughed out of the forum for suggesting it, but it really bothers me that Index-Index doesn't include/contain itself. It's one of the only pages on the wiki that can't be manually edited (at least not for most of us), so I can't just fix this myself, but I feel like unless this will somehow crash the website, it really should. It is an index; it lists indices. Therefore, it should list itself. Simple...right?
