Apparently a lot of things were confirmed in this episode, including a heck of a curveball with Apollo NOT being Apollonius at all, but rather his pet dog Pollon, who fell in love with Celianne... which means that since Kagura and Amata are Apollo's reincarnations, well... And Mikono is apologizing for not noticing the poor mutt's affection during her previous incarnation. Tsk, Kawamori.
Oh, and Shrade is apparently dead, for real this time.
Ayup. Kawamori's eeeevil.
Apollo is Indeed the reincarnation of Pollon the winged dog. Making Amata and Kagura quite literally the reincarnation of a dog

I took the liberty of editing the main page for EVOL under Wham episode with a link to Mind Screw. Cause... you know. God this makes me madder than the whole gender bending thing.
Kawamori is on drugs.
Incidentally didn't Rena in Sousei(who saw things more than how they are) always saw Apollo as a winged dog anyway? I mean, even his constellation was a winged dog! Maybe Okada jumped on that little detail and ran away with it.
Oh, and at least we know why Mykage is such a bastard. He's Touma's dark half.

It makes so much sense which is why I hate it so much. Its a troll that validates half the series whilst also invalidating everything.
Also the creepy bestiality overtones but yeah.
Heheheh. So, basically, the reason Mykage's been such an asshole is because he knew about this piece of trolling well in advance. So, uh- What the heck happened to Apollonius, then? Apollo kept seeing his spirit, and talked like him sometimes, so… what?
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."
thats actually kind of explained in the original series. The Legendary Aquarion/Solar Aquarion is quite literally Apollonius
I haven't seen the episode yet, but I've been spoilered.
And really?
Really Kawamori?
I'm no longer watching this series because I enjoy it; I'm watching it to see how big of a trainwreck it turns out to be.

Fudo has been hinting though about how the current incarnation of a person doesn't necessarily have to reflect the relationships they had in their previous lives. So while Pollon was a dog in his first life (well technically he was a Shadow Angel in the form of a dog, much like how Otoha was a snake), he became a human as Apollo, and is now a human again in Amata/Kagura.
It's still kind of a swerve for people (like me) who actually FORGOT about that little detail (Rena's vision) from Genesis.
Now, who among us here will have to do the dubious honors of editing BOTH the entries for Genesis and EVOL in the light of this new reveal? Nevermind the messy messy work in the WMV section of EVOL...

The problem is that it just sort of invalidates the entire premise of the first series. Getting rid of the thing which caused many people to look optimistically on a second season doesn't really strike me as a winning move, but what the hell do I know?
June 3rd, 2012. The day thousands of mecha fans cried blood and pitch because Kawamori pulled off the biggest troll ever.
I shudder at the editing job that's going to have to happen because of this foolishness.
Proposal: We create two entries for Genesis: The first entry is the series as-we-believed it to be for the past six, seven years. The second entry is the series as it's been retconed by EVOL.
so Genesis (Spoiler Free) and Genesis (Mind Screw Edition) ?
This episode makes me want to punch someone, preferably someone with 'river' and 'forest' in his name.
So, do we start at the main page, or just do the Character page then work from there? Because, yeah, this will take some work, and I don't want to edit something that's already under edit by someone else.
Nevermind the WMG page, where countless entries just got nuked.
Actually, wasn't the entire "Apollo isn't Apollonius reincarnation" a pretty major part of The Reveal at the end of Sousei? (Sylvie and her brother whose name I can't remember were the reincarnations of Apollonius and Celiane, which is why Sylvie could manifest (one of) the Solar Wings)
Also, getting reincarnated as a different species is well... A pretty big part of the entire reincarnation system thing. Everyone's been a dog at some point.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntAnd from what I hear from you lot, apparently Kawamori must've been a turd at one point
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...A turd is not alive you mcbutthurt.
This kind of explains why Apollo was nothing like Apollonius and how Apollonius could met with him and tell him how Aquarion worked.

x11 the Comparison to Otoha doesn't really work as she was only part snake.
He was literally a dog and a pet of Apollonius.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Somewhere Terada is chain-smoking cigarettes, wondering what the fuck he's supposed to do with this for the Super Robot Wars debut.

x6
No the reveal was Sylvia and Sirius were both Celiane.
there was also a Reveal that Aquarion itself was at least part of, it not completely, the Solar Wing.
At the time it was phrased that it was the body without the soul reincarnated whilst Apollo was the soul.
Or something to that effect.
Biggest troll in the history anime... two anime seasons completed invalidated. Fuck you Kawamori, fuck you.
