That's why Obama gets called a caudillo, he usually bypasses law and congress all together, besides a lot of people in the US are paranoid about any type of Socialism.

By the way, about the OAS, I'm glad the reds are getting shown for what they are outside of borders, having everybody stay quiet and even support them made me feel disgusted.

It's all thanks to Ledezma, Leopoldo and the 2014 fight.

Apparently Maduro called a "National rebelion" against the OEA and told them to get their "democratic letter and shove it in that special place".

Well, even if we get Mr. Nicky Mature out... what about the rest of the corrupt system? What about EL HAMPA SERIA NO CREO EN NADIE MARICO? And what about society in general?

I'm leaving whenever I can.

Indeed, I'm not that worried about the economy getting better that much because I'm sure we will recover quickly, but more about our "spiritual death" after watching people eating garbage like animals.

Latin America will never improve as long as people keep escaping instead of actually staying to improve these countries.

On a personal level, that's anyone's own decision to take and can't be faulted on them, but on a general level, you know I'm right. And you also know First World countries will become less and less accepting of foreigners as the current immigration trends from poorer countries rises.

Edit: And once Trump wins and THE WALL is up.

Meh, it's really worth it? Most people just never learn. Our history should be a guide, it is instead a "boring waste of time"

Venezuela deserves better, although I think that all societies eventually die, even the first world countries. We can act humanely for the sake of our society (whatever it is) but ultimately we are better seeking our own happiness.

Is kinda sad, I felt catharsis over it, thinking it took place in Venezuela sometimes.

Meh, it's really worth it?

It's okay if you think your own country isn't worth it.

But then, if by some miracle it ever recovers, please don't come back to enjoy the results of the efforts of those who stayed to do something.

Because no society in the world ever got rid of a bad government by actually staying and acting as a whole instead of collectively fleeing with the tail between the legs, of course.

Venezuela has given me more than I've given her. I have dues to pay, so I'm not leaving (at least for the time being).

Speaking of last page's jacobinmag stuff, its seems they're changing their minds about the roblution. It's nothing special (mostly pointing out the obvious crisis and exculpating Mortadelo from it), but I find it interesting how they've changed their rhetoric from the days of saying state terrorism wasn't that bad a thing.

And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!

Venezuela isn't as hopeless as most people think, sure the crisis is bad but we should recover fairly quickly economically. I'm more worried about our moral crisis.

I'd argue the moral crisis has been here even before Chavez arrived to the power. It's what allowed him to get there in the first place.

"Because no society in the world ever got rid of a bad government by actually staying and acting as a whole instead of collectively fleeing with the tail between the legs, of course. "

That would sound deep except for one think: we are not getting rid of bad goverment, the goverment is eating itself and we are just hopping a venezuela remain after that

"I'm more worried about our moral crisis. "

It depend of how we learn, we marco perez jimmez we learn about the danger of a totalitarian, with chavez we have to left out this romantism with political messiah that Latin america never let out

Petropopulismo parejo.
