At according to what I previously read here, the only people with the armed strength needed to do more than what already has been done by the opposition is the military.
...which incidentally has been busy carving out its own little fiefdom to keep the rank and file loyal to them.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotIronically, Pre-Chávez Venezuela is a far better example of effective Socialism than the Venezuela of today. Back in Rafael Caldera's first term, security in here was better than in the US. A lot of gringo celebrities lived in Caracas and the gringos who worked in PDVSA were better paid here than in the US. We even started emulating the US with our cities design. Those left-wing assholes who defend Chavez and Castro are the perfect examples of first world commies that don't really know shit.
Also yeah, as long as the opposition doesn't get the military on their side, the status quo isn't going to change. The opposition can either play dumb and follow the goverment's game or maybe do some street protests to take adventage of the discontent against the goverment until an event like 2002's rebellion repeats itself. At least that's what I would do and It's our only hope at this point.

Inflation and scarcity keep getting worse by the day...
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem. There was a transport strike in East Caracas recently. It's because people are frustrated because of It's price.
Gasoline and products are becoming more rare. The country is slowly stopping itself.
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.Dear diary, it really feels good living in a nation about to collapse.
we are not colapsing, we are rotting from wittin it, is a very slow death.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I do wonder how Venezuela can come out alright out of this if even the agricultural sector is collapsing (the farmers aren't getting good pesticides from the government and crops are dying, according to BBC).

Life is unfair...I feel happy, knowing many of these pests will die either by their own stupidity or by the law in other countries.
My resentment for them is too great.

Development? Venezuela?

Wut.

Inter arma enim silent legesIt is because the current Venezuela government is friendly to China.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThese are the darkest Christmas we've had. Literally, there was this large blackout in Maracaibo. At the place I was staying it lasted four hours.
Also the absence of Christmas ornaments is noteworthy.
But still, Merry Christmas everyone!
And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!I curse those damn Communist bastards for what they did to my beautiful Maracaibo D:! I was out during the whole blackout and I'm staying with some family members in Valencia right now. My sister had no electricity for almost 2 whole days. The blackouts will probably continue all the way to Friday at least... From what I've seen, despite the lack of service, Valencia is actually much more decent than both Maracaibo and San Cristobal. The public services don't work in Maracaibo and garbage is everywhere on the street. I curse Arias Cardenas and whoever the hell won recently and everyone on Chavismo!
¡Ojala los violen y les den por el culo!
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.I regret that time I called Oscar Pérez a memelord.
And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!Caracas announced that they're conducting an anti-terror raid to arrest the so-called terrorist aka the pilot who defected and hurled grenades out of his chopper.
My god they even used a Rocket Launcher on the house he was in... I still don't know if he made it or not.

And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!Dammit. I curse this satanic government, this is so fucked up.
The Opposition (well at least Soy Venezuela) is calling for protests on January 22.
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.I heard there are cacerolazos in some parts of Caracas. I am sure that will work this time.
Guys so, there's been constant lootings and protests from the Venezuelan lower classes during these 2 months or so, they've been happening daily and I think the murder of Oscar Perez might heat things up again in the next weeks.
Students of the Ludovico Silva protested today because of the constant robberies against them and teachers. The GNB is there trying to control the situation.
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem. So, Chavismo hasn't notice they became worse than how the country was handled in the 90's, or are they just that blind?

The recurring pattern I see with Venezuela (and China, and Russia, and all those other countries) is that in the early years, the quality of life did improve somewhat after they took power, but that's mostly because the living conditions beforehand were so fucking dismal and stagnant that any movement which kicked people's asses into gear made for an improvement. And Chavez was buffered by the power of oil. But it never lasts. This concentration of so much far-ranging power into an individual institution is so fertile for abuse that despotism is inevitable. Authoritarianism, never once.
