Yeah, I definitely look forward to watching the show every week. My favorite buyer is Barry Weiss, maybe because he's probably what I would be like if I were in the biz. Just lookin' for cool stuff. Dave is a jerk, sure, but I think he really does have a soft side. He just knows his business and KNOWS he knows his business.
TV Tropes: my anti-drug. ....it's still an anti-drug if it's just as addictive, right?Dave is the guy we'd love to hate. He wouldn't be so bad if he weren't -always- trying to make people lose a lot of money. That implies to me that he doesn't think anyone else deserves to make a living. But I have heard that when he isn't working and out-bidding, he's a pretty nice guy, so YMMV. Otherwise I am loving the show.
Really dig this show. Part of it is pretty captivating, and I'm glad the results are fairly balanced. When I first started watching, I thought Darrell was a goof who kept losing all the time, but every recent episode I've watched he's come away with the big pot or in second.
You love to hate Dave. I like his character.
Don't like the spinoff in Texas though.
What bugs me is Dave seems to be the big money maker of the show... which is something I really hate.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Yeah, because he has the most money technically, but it also means he has more money to burn.
I've seen a few episodes where he goes for a big gamble(a big locker or several) and ends up short. It's just that his pockets won't be hurtin as much as the others(though you could argue maybe the other guys are doing good for themselves too).
Dave doesn't always win, he's just the bully of the show.
theres only one thing I can say about the show.
YUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!

-wobbles-Shame to hear that Hester got the axe; however much of it is staged, the show just won't be the same without him.

So, anyone else enjoying this ultra-guilty pleasure? I have to give props to the Storage Wars producers for discovering/creating Dave Hester, one of the finest examples of a Smug Snake to ever slither his way across American television. If that's truly what the man is like in Real Life, it's amazing he's made it this far without getting all his teeth punched out.
