Can YOU Guess What This Trope Means?: Plastic Surgery

As a hint, we have Magic Plastic Surgery already.

In which a pre-existing videogame system is redesigned to be sleeker and more visually appealing, in order to boost sales.

So, this probably needs a rename. The name isn't very intuitive, and worse, is easily confused for something else entirely unrelated. There's only one actual case of misuse (TheSimpsonsM-Z), but this is out of 14 wicks, and that's including the two wicks on somehow blank pages.

My personal suggestion is Cosmetic Console Redesign. Should be search-friendly.

I wouldn't be posting at this forum if I didn't think it a necessary step.

Okay, since Magic Plastic Surgery already exists, Plastic Surgery probably involves funny scenes where a person's credit card is cut up for one reason or another.

It's a clever name, but in this case a bit too clever, as it's exactly the same as a common other term that it can be easily mistaken for.

It's basically about the "case" (as opposed to the innards), so maybe if there's a synonym that begins with "P" that could be used? Like Package Plastic Surgery?

Note the 14 wikilinks, 15 inbounds. Most are videogame consoles (as it should be), but every one that isn't (all three of them, counting two that are MIA) is misusing it for what it sounds like.

Plastic Surgery as a Video Game trope? Shouldn't that be more inclined to be a Reality TV Trope or a Useful Note for actual plastic surgery?

To be honest that sounds more like someone's modding their console.

EDIT: Okay, I mean, I realize the name taken on its own is misleading, so I can understand why we'd need to change it. But I hope we can come up with something more interesting for a name. At least something alliterative or something.

I just don't want a clever name changed to a completely uninspired blah title.

Its not clever though its absolutely misleading and we should probably have an Actual realistic Plastic Surgery trope listing its appearances in media such as Spaceballs or the numerous boob jobs and such.

(Magic Plastic Surgery is about unrealistic ones.)
