Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

I'm pretty sure Doctor Strange owns/knows something that lets him read minds.
Probably the Eye of Agamotto.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)...Why couldn't he have just stayed dead?
Solar powered and with Molecule Mans powers=Drop his body into the sun and he will surely never come back. A few years later...
Because some guys at Marvel still really want to write Superman, but as a Marvel-level PSYCHO.
My various fanfics.Which is annoying because Marvel also still really wants a Superman for whom the main difference is that there is no difference, he is Superman. So suddenly Hyperion is an Avenger.
I'm not happy with current Avengers titles.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.It's a publishing company, isn't it?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Hyperion was the leader of the Squadron Supreme, an evil group of Justice League expys. Then, there was a good-guy version of them from an alternate universe that came to this one.
S'all I know.
My various fanfics. There's a sci-fi series, a moon of Saturn, and a Greek titan at the least.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat.
The Squadron Supreme were an alternate universe Justice League stand-in, but when Hickman took over writing Avengers, he created an alternate-alternate universe Hyperion whose entire world was destroyed and he sought refuge in the 616, joining the Avengers some time prior to the events of Hickman's Avengers starting so that Hickman would have a Superman to write.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Sentry came back because Marvel needed a few dead characters to rise again as the Horseman of Death. Sentry's not great, but I'm cool with it because it means Daken's alive again too.

You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down!Though he's far from the first writer to do that. DC made the Champions of Angor as a parody of the Avengers and then had two of its members join the Justice League so that the writers could have their own Expies of Ant Man and Scarlet Witch on the team.
Purple Man is within the Marvel rights, right?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI think so - I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't. I expect him to be a villain in the Luke Cage or Jessica Jones series.
Also, on the off chance that they make an Alpha Flight something or other, one of the characters the can use from that is his daughter.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I thought I heard that Fox has Alpha Flight. Though I'm sure I haven't heard that directly from Marvel.
Not sure. Half of their characters are probably tied up with the X-Men, but apparently Agents of SHIELD and Winter Soldier have mentioned things that have to do with Alpha Flight (though not the team itself).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Who was the guy in Captain America: TWS who was on board and giving commands on the Insight Hellicarrier? He seems very, very familiar but I can't recall his name or where I heard his voice before.
His lines were: "Deploy algorithm." "Fire when ready.""Where are the targets? WHERE ARE THE TARGETS?"
I think you might be talking about Danny Pudi. He's on Community.

Danny Pudi is in a different scene, when Cap takes over the broadcast room. The guy you're looking for doesn't seem to have a picture here, though.
Pretty sure Sentry is dead. He went crazy, Voided out, Thor beat him down and then they dropped a helicarrier on him.
