Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

Maybe pool party place was close to where Cassie was.
Paxton wasn't headed in that direction anyway since he was taking Scott back to jail. Again. He had to turn around when he got radioed.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe taser also knocked Scott unconscious. Most likely a good amount of time passed before he woke up in Paxton's car.
So, just got back from the movie. It was a lot of fun. I saw it with my mom, who said it was a lot better than she thought it would be (she says that a lot). She thought that Cassie was really cute, her jaw was on the floor when Cross killed Frank, and she was also kind of upset when Anthony died.
I told her about comic!Hank's...thing, and she thought it was a good idea that they didn't use that. Interestingly, she thought that Scott was lying when he said that he couldn't remember anything from the Quantum Realm so that Hank wouldn't risk his life trying to save Janet. I don't know if that would hold up upon closer analysis, but it's an interesting idea.

Oh God! Natural light!Yeah the Anthony death was brutal, that had me feeling pretty emotional. The ants really were a Hypercompetent Sidekick in general, they went for wave tactics to distract during the final fight on the train set and I loved how after the bombs were set they make sure to evac all the ants as part of the plan.
"And the Bunny nails it!" ~ Gabrael "If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we." ~ CyranSpeaking of which, does Fury still have Coulson's Captain America trading cards?
My headcanon is now that he's been holding onto them all along and telling Coulson they were lost in the fight Loki.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. That's mean. But I'm not sure Fury would have been able to meet with Coulson in person since everything went to shit with SHIELD.
Agents of SHIELD season 1 spoiler They actually did meet in the season 1 finale of Agents of SHIELD, which was chronologically after the events of Winter Soldier.
Uh, I've watched both seasons so far XD I just didn't think Fury had the time to give him the trading cards back. It's been a while since I watched the first season, I could be misremembering it.
Also I only watched The Winter Soldier recently. I didn't know it happened before the finale. Though it does seem obvious now that I think about it.
There was the time after Coulson and Fury confronted Garrett (and then Garrett died) and before Fury made Coulson Director. They were all on the plane and Coulson was yelling at him about bringing him back to life. I suppose Fury could have returned his cards to him then, but probably not.

"I sold them to finance the new helicarriers. Which your hero blew up. So. Yeah."
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWasn't there that time Nick Fury personally visited their plane before the whole HYDRA thing because they blew a hole in the side of it?
Oh, yeah, that was at the end of the second episode. "I have the authority to downgrade your ass to a Winnebago."
Man, I would love it if next season the agents have to travel around in a Winnebago since they blew up their plane.
Fitz was already designing something new...which is kind of fitting. After two seasons of origin story (that's what it basically was, right?) it is time for a change.
Why would Cross have any knowledge of what transpired at Avengers HQ?
Regarding Fury meeting with Coulson
They also probably met offscreen at least once in season 2, given that Coulson refurbished the Helicarrier Fury rides into Age of Ultron for him.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Because Hydra are monitoring the Avengers. Learn about a guy who can shrink that broke in to the place and go "A guy that can shirk!? Hey, wasn't that Cross guy developing/selling something like that. It must have been a demonstration of his technology." So they go to him "breaking into the Avengers was way cool - how much?" and Cross goes "...Yes. Yes that was me" and since like it wasn't him, he starts investigating the incident.
I can't remember the exact line, but I remember Cross explicitly mentioning having caught wind of a scuffle going on at Avengers HQ.
Damn those civilian Avengers employees and their Twitters!
Dude, one bad tweet can cause shit-tons of damage IRL. Imagine what happens when you've got a bunch of superheroes and supervillains running around. Shit be crazy.
Speaking of crazy shit, here's another Spider-Rumor.
This time, it's a possible Spider-Man casting list!
Yeah, yeah, I know the drill. Take this with a very, very large grain of salt.
(Then again, no Gwen Stacy? Dang it.)
Also, I should've said earlier, there's also something about a weird homemade costume...thing that even I find to be dubious.
Barefooted Spidey? Yeah, not buying it.
Knowing Marvel, assuming they do go the romantic route for Spidey but don't have Gwen or MJ, the next one up would most likely be Carlie Cooper.
.....please for the love of fuck don't do that.
For rumours like this you need a whole salt mine. But theoretically, I wouldn't mind them not including Gwen Stacy. It is too early for that. Honestly, I would love it if they would do a Spider-man movie without any romance whatsoever.
"Latino Review"
Nope, not bothering even looking at the rest.
Actually there is a very simple reason he would know that: he already knew Scott's identity and story, probably by doing research based on what he learnt happened at the Avengers Headquarters. By that logic he had to know where Scott's daughter lived
