It is a good show, but don't expect it to be the constant action romp that Ninja Scroll was. There is more development/characterization later on, though sadly they usually don't last enough to fully benefit from it.
I'm not very fond of the opening. There's not a lot of animation, just a lot of moving still frames.
Just saw Udono's death. Guess this show's not gonna pull any punches.
I'll keep watching.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.You guys will love it. I am not giving away any spoilers but it gets more intense!
A low-class man will just talk; deeds are the hallmark of a gentlemanI read the manga for this and found it enjoyable, but I was never able to work up the energy to watch the anime for some reason. I watched the first episode and got distracted after that.
Imagine Rakan applying Calling Your Attacks to doing paperwork.~Anarchy Rakan for the hell of it COMMISSION THIS BRIDGE!~EHKIt's been a while since I've watched this one through, but yes, "will not pull punches" is an accurate summary.
Man, the dramatic irony certainly seals a lot of characters' fates.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Well, at least the flashback episode made up for the clipshow. Does Gennosuke seriously not give a damn about getting tea in his face?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I liked the show through and through. But the ending left me a bit dissatisfied.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I remember liking this one and I saw the sequel show listed on Crunchyroll, but the reviews have been less than stellar. Has anybody seen it?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I've been watching it and while it definitely had its moments and a few cool characters it wasn't anywhere near as good as the original series. It also gets a little weird towards the end.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI am also not sure what happened at the end.
Did everyone get revived?
From what I could gather the destruction of Kujaku/Ranmaru's Inverted Halberd of Time sent Hibiki and Hachiro back in time where they killed the Joujinshuu and therefore stopped the events of the series from happening or something along those lines anyway.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellBasically...parallel/other timeline.
And who ya gonna call? Ghost Hachiro apparently.
Watching this show on Net Flix.
I like the character design so far, but this anime seems a little slow passed and heavy on exposition/ non action scenes. Though there IS a fight each episode so far (but not with any characters we've grown to care about)
So this and Ninja Scroll are based on the same story?
