I'm inexperienced at comic-making, but I love to draw. I think a webcomic would be the fastest way to improvement but I haven't any ideas, so I'm a bit of a drawer looking for a writer. Would you mind if I got better through sheer practice or do you want someone who knows all that from the get-go? For the record, here's my flickr...
Well... this is kind of awkward.
I've already found an artist, just two days ago.
If you want, I can link you to other places where people are practically artist hunting.
And... the other one forum is down for the moment. Pity. Here's the link to the Main Page for that one.
Or you can go right over to Writers' Block on this very forum.
You can literally make a thread on either of those, Title it "Artist seeks Writer," link the flickr, state that you exist and your drawing hand works, leave your email address, and in under two hours, you will get swamped like the only drunk girl at a frat party.
Awrite, no biggie. Thanks.
Now Don't everybody rush at me at once...
Anyway, I've been involved in a writing project that started out as just something to do, but I keep wanting to actually see it brought to life.
So I want to make it into a webcomic.
I already have three chapters written out, and am working on the prologue.
However, while I do consider my writing ability to be above average (at least, so I am told), there are a few issues:
The person or persons that I seek is/are an artist and scriptwriter.
As for the art style, I'm thinking something that's vaguely anime-like, but that's not a demand. What I do want, however, is for there to be a good amount of shading. Not a whole lot, but enough that it's noticeable.
What's that? You want a sample of my writing?
Well, I'm almost done with the prologue, and I'll put that up when I've completed it. For now, you can have a look at my Fanfiction.net Account to see my style. Just stay away from the one that's Titled "Flesh." I sort of consider that the worst thing I have up there. "Mindscape" is an old shame to a lesser extent. Both are still apparently well-liked, so make of that what you will.
I also have the bones of two chapters up on this very forum. It's been revised from this point.
