Team fortress idea

Yeah well I can't find a better place since we lack a fanfiction area. I was wondering if this sounded like a good idea for a story. It would consist of a blu(e) spy infiltrating a group of red engineers and waiting for the perfect time to strike but while he does it he works on his character moving and talking like a red engineer. As time progresses he actually forgets that he is in fact not an engineer but a spy and when he realizes what he is, he deals with persecution from both sides. Blu thinking he's now a double agent and the red knowing that their beloved engineer friend is actually a spy. While the spy himself simply wants to go back to his old life of doing something constructive.

I've just been walking around with this idea of trying to humanize the characters we love to play giving them a significant background but couldn't think which character to use. I don't know does this sound like it could be a good plot if executed in the right way?

Wait, you're not him? Oh, well. Another place you could've put this in was Video Games, but this is a good place. I bet there are a few fans lurking here.

It sounds like an interesting Beneath the Mask plot, if executed correctly. I bet there will be tragedy in the end.

Don't forget to read the comics and watch the Meet the Team videos, not to mention listen to all the voice clips that are on the TF 2 Wiki. It'll help you figure out the character. It may help for you to investigate the WAR! Update, if you weren't around when it happened. I heard that similar themes were presented there.
