"ENOUGH OF THIS BULL CRAP!!!" Flutterbitch hollered. She then flew straight for Dubix, aiming to ram him head on.

After sending this last, deadly present after the departing demon, Mehir made a flourish with his hand, dismissing the Efreeti. While Dubix attacked his fellows, he just stood there and cackled. After all, they were all beings of Chaos... things that were to be purged from the world once their usefulness was depleted.

Cletus looked from the explosion, to the Behemoth, and then to Gunner.

"I... Don't suppose I could keep this? This is the best gun I've ever used."

Grievous reached up and snapped his fingers for effect.

Then, literally the fog cleared and the Drowning Doom's stage was in place.

Grievous himself was not sure exactly how a stage of all things would work, but since he had plans he could already follow, he had followed them for speedy purposes.

He took note of Rey's words and nodded.

“Very Well. The stage is set, and I believe what troops we have are ready.”

"SUCKERS!" Dubix said as he revved up the engine and drove, getting out of the way of Flutterbitch's ram. He continued to drive out of the Doom's area.

Meanwhile, Shotaro soon stopped shuddering. "Is... is it over?"

"Wow. A bit overkill but wow." Tyrell said as he continued to watch Byruken's display. "I hope she doesn't set the forest on fire or break the stalk we're on and send it crashing to the ground. That would hurt."

Rey surveyed the land around them, taking in the stage and the vehicles, nodding. "Very good, my followers...you have done well this time. All right...we will need to pack the stage and take it with us, so that we may set up our battle anywhere we need. For now, we will be taking it back to the Sea. We must move quickly so that we can destroy the Coil first, and therefore have both our full concentration and the power of the Sea ready for Ironheade when it arrives."

He scowled deeply, surveying the statues. "Doctor, I will have you add something to the stage. I am pleased with it, but I have some...decorations in mind that it needs."

He motioned to them. "We must get to work quickly. As soon as that fool reaches Doviculus, we will lose our element of surprise...so our speed must be our weapon."

-

Ironheade finished loading the bus, and with a wave from the troops remaining behind-Jack the Headbanger and Kage the Kannonier among them-they had started on their way.

The main group were standing in the front of the bus with Mangus yet again, still talking things out. "One thing I just don't understand is how he knows our world so well..." Ophelia was saying. "He knew exactly where to find us, exactly where to find...Lars...he's made uses of the Tears in just a matter of hours that it took the clone of me months to discover...how is he doing it?"

"Maybe the Sea retained the memories of your copy..." Lita suggested. She was standing behind Mangus, staring out the window at passing scenery. She still seemed rather distracted.

"If it can, that's nothing I ever knew about..." Mangus said. "None of the legends about it ever mentioned it able to do that."

"They never mentioned it able to kill and copy people, either," Ophelia murmured.

Dubix soon arrives to where the other Coil members are. He then stopped his bike and looked for Doviculus. When he found him, he spoke up. "... MASTER. I ENCOUNTERED THE DROWNING DOOM AND THEY SAID YOU'RE IN POSSESSION OF THE SEA OF BLACK TEARS. MIND TELLING ME WHERE IT IS? I HAVE AN IDEA ON HOW TO DISPATCH THEM." Dubix said.

Jack merely shrugged. The mysteries of sorcery were, for the most part, beyond him, and he was content with that.

"Doubtless it is something to do with his origin on another world, or the nature of the challenge. The Nomads' powers are great. Still, this only means it is all the more important to eliminate Rey and the others."

Grievous turned and started barking orders at the various minions, and it was amazing how fast they could all move with the proper motivation.

Using Organists, Lightning Rods, and a Dirigible, Grievous had most of the stuff packed up in mere minutes.

“If Speed is our goal, then perhaps the good doctor's modifications should be done in the field.”

"Sure, you can keep it." Gunner remarked to Cletus below, attempting to splint her injuries with some supplies, using her other arm and her mouth.

Just then, something dark and smoking fell from the inferno, dropping like a sack of potatoes. The Nitro fell upon the stalk, a blackened husk of charred fur and burnt flesh, looking like a turkey was baked for too long. The acrid smell of its sizzling flesh filled the humid air, lending it a queasy aftertaste. Up above, the sky slowly darkened, covered by approaching black clouds...

"Mm... That went too easy..." Sani mused, his hair still locked in shape of something gigantic. "It didn't even use a Gourmet Cell ability..."

Nanoha watched the creature fall. She was quite adverse to killing, but that creature had intended to eat them and she hadn't killed it. She lowered Raising Heart to her side, and looked over towards Gunner.

"Metalheart-san, are you okay?!" she called, flying closer to the older girl.

"Will it stay dead?" Byakuren asked, finishing her spell and restoring the scroll to sword form. If that bird wasn't going to stay dead... she was going to obliterate every last part of it. As much as the magician wanted to run over and help the Gunner, it was more important to make sure that neither she nor anyone else was going to get hurt by the crispy avian. The ominous clouds could wait, too.

"This is... a setback." Gunner gritted her teeth as she simultaneously achieved a passable splint for her arm as well as answering Nanoha. "Are you sure you can fix this?" She asked Kohaku dubiously, wondering how the maid can help.

"Well... it's hard to say with Nitros. As long as you keep it away from anything it can eat or liquids, it'll continue to remain in a state of Cryptobiosis, like it's doing now." Sani remarked to Byakuren, keeping an eye on the thing. "The thing can remain in that state for more than a thousand years if need be, and it's terribly hard to outright kill one..."

Model Hades crossed into the gated community and acquired a spare room (of which there were many), and deposited Chun-Li in the white ward. "Do you need anything else?"

"How hard, exactly? I'm sure that I can find some way of killing it..." Byakuren said, going pensive. How many different forms of attack did she have? Well, there was always that as a last resort, "I could probably eat it, I digest food quickly."

Nanoha drifted closer... and she could do little more then worry. She didn't have any kind of healing spells(If only Yuuno-kun was here...), there was little to now way she could help with the injury. "Do you need any help?"

"Like I said before, I'm actually quite well versed in medical matters. I've had to work as a personal doctor for Akiha-sama, Shiki-san and Makihisa-sama, after all." Kohaku gently took Gunner's hand and inspected it. "Mmmm, that looks nasty... I think I have a first aid kit with me, so I can get it all cleaned up and bandaged if you'd like~ And I suppose I could always give you something for the pain too, ufu~"

Doviculus leant on his staff and surveyed the devastation caused by his forces, a smile playing about his mouth.

"Tonight, this land will be stained with humanity's blood."

He turned his face to the Headbanger who had whispered to Grey.

"Please, do it. Flee for your life. It will provide a moments diversion, and some small taste of the upcoming slaughter."

Grey regarded the Headbanger warily as he spoke. His mind seized on the chance to escape and rejoin his former comrades in Ironheade, but all the same the reploid was afraid of dying or being made to suffer in what would doubtless be a terrifying and painful manner. He felt trapped, and there appeared to be no way to get a good result; the only winning move was not to play. Unfortunately, Doviculus's interjection left only one real option open to him.

Shaking his head balefully, Grey reluctantly replied, "Sorry, no. If you try to make a run for it, I'm gonna have to stop you."

Compromising on his morals didn't exactly make him feel proud, but at this stage it was all about survival - there was no way that he'd be able to get back to the others if he died now making a pointless escape attempt. The fear, however, of falling down a slippery slope gnawed at the back of his mind: perhaps the hostile Mega Men had also made one or two transgressions against their moral codes originally, reasoning that they could atone for it later. The thought was sobering, and Grey returned his attention once more to his work.

Gunner, being the innocent person she was, didn't catch the undertone of Kohaku's words and readily agreed. "If you're willing, then I don't see a reason why you shouldn't." She said, smiling back. "I'm in your care, Ms. Kohaku."

A few drops of rain scattered down from the sky, a prelude of the coming downpour. Glancing up, Sani frowned as he saw the sky. "Um... this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone wanting to eat the Nitro... Are you sure you wanna eat it? It's a sentient being, plus I don't think it'll taste all that good..." The King stated.

"I'll probably wish I could burn the taste out of my mouth afterwards but I'm going to try it, something like that doesn't deserve to come back," Byakuren said, odd, macabre lights floating around her as she descended towards the body. Once there, she opened her mouth impossibly wide and forced the entire carcass down it, making what many snakes did look completely mundane. It certainly tasted foul but, most likely, the same thing that allowed her to digest so much fruit would have killed it.

Probably.

"Alright, try to stay still, Meta-chan~" Kohaku smiled cheerfully, as she took Gunner's wrist and produced a syringe from her kimono. "This might sting a little at first, but your wrist should go numb after a few seconds, okay?" Well, that and it might make you a little more open to suggestion, but hey, why worry about little side-effects like that, ufufu~?

Her smile only broadened as she administered the injection. She reached into her kimono yet again and pulled out a small box, emblazoned with a red cross, from which she took out some cloth and guaze. After quickly yet thoroughly cleaning the wound, she began to wrap up Gunner's arm, replacing the makeshift splint with something a little more professional.

"There, all done~ Doesn't that feel better, ufu~?" she giggled, and kissed her handiwork. "Try not to put too much strain on it, okay? You don't want it to get any worse, after all."
