David S. Goyer wrote the first draft but most of it seems to have been dropped (he's only getting story credit).
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I can't imagine anyone has a real interest in this, new creative team or no.
I remember thinking Nicolas Cage was all wrong for Ghost Rider, and the movie didn't really change my mind.
The first movie should have been about Dan Ketch. They had to use Johnny Blaze, which means the comics went back to Blaze, which means the video games, the action figures and public opinion, well the comics did alright, but not the rest.
Dan Ketch was the current Ghost Rider, and the better Ghost Rider, if they made a sequel about him, good, but the movie kind of ruined his chances. This is why Marvel comics will never move forward, they have too little sense for marketing the present. Against the odds, Ghost Rider has retained a consistent level of quality, but they don't let anyone know about it.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI'm 80% sure that Ketch was replaced as the main Ghost Rider about a decade ago, and a quick wiki search seems to confirm it. And apparently the current title features both of them.
The last film was okay but nothing special, this one probably will be too.
Am I a good man or a bad man?No, he wasn't replaced, he never stopped being...well he and the spirit of vengeance separated, for about a month but were then forced back together and he went on his way into comic book limbo because someone decided they wanted to use Johnny Blaze and Zarathos again, but I digress, the point is Ketch was the most recent Ghost Rider who's story would have translated better to film.
If I made the wrong connection that Blaze was back because of the movie, well I goofed.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI know I shouldn't, but maybe this time. Still has Nick Cage, boo. Daylight Ghost Rider, meaning better effects, yay. I'm the kind of guy who will enjoy a bad film so long as the hero looks good. The Captain America film where he gets strapped to a rocket is one.
First trailer
Peeing fire? Really? *facepalm*

That looks absolutley horrible.
And Idris Elba is in it. I always hate seeing fantastic actors in bit roles.
"Delenda est." "Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed." -Common Roman saying at the end of speeches. This might be so bad, it's hilarious. I mean, he pisses fire!
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Looks good to me. Aside from the peeing fire part. He should probably speak to a doctor about that.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoHe'd probably say it's just a burning sensation.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/not the puns again, Why do I always end up derailing superhero threads into pun-fests?
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoI was referencing an Eddie Murphy bit (I believe from his Raw concert). I didn't mean for it to be a pun.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Maybe it was edited to look like he pissed fire? A shitty cop-out excuse, but whatever.
First one was meh, maybe this one will be. Or suck hard.
I say we dont judge a trailer on what will probably be a two second gag.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoI don't like the "you should be afraid of me, angst emo angst" bit. But then, I am still annoyed they used the Dan Ketch look without any of the relevant Dan Ketch themes.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comPerhaps I exist on a different plane, but I don't see anything face-meltingly wrong about the trailer. The action scenes look great and we don't really get any story; Nic Cage is being silly, but that's what he does. I'm excited. It looks like how Ghost Rider should've been the first time around.
Also, the piss bit* : doesn't look like it'll be in the movie. Notice the entirely black background that wasn't anywhere else in the trailer.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass."face-meltingly wrong "
I C Wat U did Thar
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes Also...Oh good Lord.
I didn't mean to! I didn't mean to!
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass. This movie looks like it's gonna be entertaining.
It'll be the hottest film in 2012
Yea, I said it.
So, anybody shocked by the lack of any published reviews at T-3 days?
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comNo I'm not. Nicolas Cage (of recent) and Neveldine/Taylor movies are rarely screened to critics.
Expect the Rotten Tomatoes rating to be under 20%.
