They ( "they" meaning "almost everybody in media" ) need to learn that you don't make money on sales that don't happen, and yes, a lot of things you can do will cause people to just *not buy your product.*
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comI am not entirely sure how that works out, honestly.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. It doesn't and it is going to be removed again.
To make things worse if you look at the worst period in US history to date for violent crime. Megacity one still beats it out per capita with only a fraction of the police coverage by comparison.
Done. Removed again and pointed out it is in the discussion section and they need to go there. I also pmed him. If he adds it back tag him for edit warring.
I also prepared a nice big fat discussion post for them to find. This guy is just trying to shoehorn this trope in no matter what. The numbers don't work no matter how hard he tries.
For the record both edits made on its removal direct readers to the discussion thread. He has failed to make a showing both times.
If you guys spot him putting it back up without stopping in Discussion first would you please report him Ask The Tropers.

Who watches the watchmen?Found this on Reddit. Figured some of you may be interested in it. It seems Karl Urban is really wanting to make a sequel for this movie.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-rE79vRsdU
100000 fans signing a petition might, I dunno, maybe help convince a movie exec to think about considering making the film, possibly.
Tam: IIRC they are seriously considering a sequel and might actually use decent marketing and not shoe horn the 3d.
I would love to see another one of these.
Who watches the watchmen?^^ 100K is not a very convincing number, even setting aside the uselessness of online petitions for anything important (which a Dredd sequel certainly is ). Even if every one of those bought a ticket, it'd still only cover the production crew donut fund.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpId love a sequel. I found the reboot to be fairly fantastic.
So I finally got to see The Raid. Looking at the two films they couldn't be more different. The only concept the two share is a bunch of criminals under a bosses thumb are shacked up in a tower. That is it.
Both films are good action films. Dredd definitely stands on it's own.
Who watches the watchmen? So is there any word on a sequel for this or has that dream died or drifted into dev hell?
Who watches the watchmen?Last word on it was in May, so it's not so much dead as it is sleeping.
Urban wants a Kickstarter.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. You know, the only way I could see the franchise ever reviving in film is if they pull a Sony-Marvel kind of deal and adapt one of the crossovers with Batman.
Dredd would probably try to arrest Bruce because vigilantism is against the law or something XD
There's been at least one comic crossover built on that very premise, I believe.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpYep, the very first one (there were three other Dredd/Batman crossovers after that).

So two years on from this article:
http://www.gamesradar.com/blog-who-killed-judge-dredd/
It's conclusions are still true?
"So what can you do? Honestly? Nothing. If you're buying the DVD in the misguided belief it will help convince the studio a sequel is viable, save your money. There's no “ Serenity manoeuvre” to be pulled off here, no chance of a reprieve."
That's almost a pity.
It could work but they frankly can't be assed to do it. You know actually take responsibility for their marketing and showing cock up and do it right in round 2.
Who watches the watchmen? So I just rewatched the movie, and it is so fucking awesome. Somehow Dredd's guttural one-liners never feel cheesy or narmy, even though they'd be the exact kind of lines Jacob Peralta would deliver in exactly the same tone.
I get a feeling from Dredd that he's really fucking tired of all this shit, yet must get the job done. What is he even running on, at this point?
Also, it's really frickin' weird seeing Avon Barksdale as anyone else's subordinate.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. The thing with Dredd's oneliners is that he is not quipping. He's so bloody obtuse and sincere in everything he does that the very concept of quipping escapes him, and I love how the film is very aware of that and uses it for some nicely sharp Genre Savvy satire in several occasions (most prominently "Why should I freeze?" and "Wait for her to shoot you.").
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I had heard rumors. Please let this happen.
Who watches the watchmen?
Yep. I took the "Or else" option.
