ok, Vita pretty much has the best and diverse launch title IMO

Depends if the stuff that launches in Japan before the Vita launches in US gets added the the US Launch. If so, then yeah, the Vita will likely have the best launch library of any console in gaming history.

So Japanese gamers want Uncharted more than Persona 4

Some would call this suprising, but most of the promo ads (at least, the ones from Sony) have been leaning heavier on Uncharted than on other titles, emphasizing it as the killer App for the Japanese launch (being shifted from this spot come February 9th). Atlus, comparatively, haven't thrown as much advertising weight behind The Golden. Heck, half of us don't even fully know what is in it. Will there be an extended epilogue? A female MC? New weapons? New Personae? The rumored inclusion of the already completed episode of the Persona 4 anime? No-one really knows at this point.

Atlas rarely advertises much till just before the game is released (sometimes not even that)

And a remake < New game.

Unit 13 actually quite suprises me. From the sorts of trailers, I assumed it was just a regular third person shooter they ported to the Vita. From the Kotaku preview, it actually sounds really good, tailoring it to fit with the portable mindset. I especially like how coming into contact with a person who has unlocked the mission gives you a chance to attempt the mission yourself - its a cool idea and sounds like a great use of the Near thing.

So completely want that game. Perona 4 is my second/third favourite game ever made, and I cannot wait for a better version on the go. So very much win.

With that said......

Why does the new character have a choker with a lock on it? Seriously, this game was so amazing at completely averting the non-functional JRPG attire thing, why break that now and give us a character wearing a lock? What is the purpose of that thing?

They hacked the Vita's PSP emulator, which was a) probably inevitable and b) not as bad as it sounds since it's probably walled off from doing anything useful. As far as I can tell, as long as Vita games aren't playable, they can hack it all they want and they probably won't do much damage.

Sales numbers. Its opening 2 days were 50K lower than the 3DS, but double the PSP's.

Also, apparently the Vita is being a bit glitchy.

Guess I will be waiting for the Vita slim when that comes out to fix those issues.

For the sales thing, they have considered that the utter failure of the 3DS to impress may have scared away audiences from a launch, and as the systems games get shown off it'll attract more sales? Hell, within two months one of the most celebrated new IP's I've seen in years drops for the Vita - they don't think that may change things?

Which IP? Though, I agree with you that it's to early to say anything about the Vita for the moment. The glitches and issues gotta hurt though, but Sony will hopefully have fixed them by the time it comes out internationally.

And yes, Gravity Rush sounds pretty awesome, though it's still not out yet, so a video of it or someone playing a demo would be nice. I'm still not buying a Vita until a price cut happens though. Hopefully, the Vita will make you happy once you get it.

Is a new SKU really necessary to fix freezing issues? Those sorts of things are almost always software related rather than hardware (and they'll probably be fixed by the time Vita launches anywhere outside of Asia anyway).

Well there are reports that the systems wont even turn on and design flaws.

Well, the Vita still has two months before it gets over here. The design flaws and other glitches may have been ironed out then.
