Well, I'm considering abandoning all hope in this show, so if there are other people out there who like it, bring forth your case and gush, because I am seriously running out of reasons to watch.

I'm still enjoying it, if only because there's not as much reality show drama as I expected and most of them are actually likable.

[up] Yeah, that's kind of the show's saving grace. If they were knifing each other in the back constantly, I would've gone already, but I still have a problem with some of them.

[up] Yeah. I liked Lindsay early on, but this week made me not like her. Kissing Cameron to get ahead and making him uncomfortable? Not cool.

Emily's departure early on surprised me, as I thought she would last at least until the latter half of the competition. The rest of the results I pretty much expected, aside from being surprised that Damien is still in the running. (I like him, but his performances just don't seem to catch my attention.)

At this point I don't really know which of the remaining performers are more likely to win. Cameron gets pushed a lot by the coaches, but Ryan could very well cut him out of frustration if he keeps ending up in the bottom three.

[up] Eh, I didn't like Emily. She was rude, grating, and an Attention Whore. I think Cameron's going to go home next week. I think he belongs on the radio, not on Glee. I really like Damian. He sounded amazing in "The Lady is a Tramp", but then again, the Irish accent's probably making me biased. Hannah sounds good, but she tends to fade into the background during her performances.

I kind of hated Emily at first, and then in the episode she went home in I thought she got a lot better. I've pretty much disliked Lindsay from the start though. Alex and Matheus I both started out liking and got sick of them pretty quick.

Other than that I pretty much like all the ones that are left. I'm pegging Marissa or Sam as the winner, but my personal favorite is Damien. I do like Sam a lot though. I really really like Cameron as well, but I'm not sure how long he'll last.

[up] Samuel's the last guy I like. He just seems so cool and calm and isn't letting anything get to him. Glee needs a rockstar. Besides, he's kind of winning.

I like all the contestants and each has their own individual style, but the guy I really have a problem with is Ryan Murphy. He can't possibly have much talent as a writer if he needs to base roles on somebody's personality first rather than write something completely original. (DON'T SHOOT!)

You smell funny.

[up] I wasn't thinking that he wasn't a good writer*

, but I thought the same thing. Why can't he write something original based on what the person might want to play, what they would be good at playing, etc.

[up][up][up] Agreed, but questionable writing skills aside, it is Ryan Murphy we're talking about, the same guy who brought us the brilliant, if not slightly flawed Glee, so hopefully he knows what he's doing.

Aside from Alex, the guys are not impressing me vocally on "Bulletproof." They needs them some diction work.

And even Alex isn't impressing me attitude-wise. Of COURSE he's tenacious. We don't doubt he has tenacity at ALL.

And WHOO, getting slushied! Edit: Also, Cameron looks like James Dean when his hair's wet. GAAAAAH.

Edit edit: Okay, RIB, please vote off Alex next time. Yes, he was fabulous in several ways on his last chance thing, but please take note that it was HIS LAST CHANCE. Everyone pulls out the stops on their last chance. Do you REALLY want someone who will only give his all when he HAS to? As opposed to Cameron and Marissa, who TRY. Very hard!

Are they only keeping Alex on because they KNOW we want him off now that he's showing his diva colors?

Alex is home. Again. He annoys me. And now Marissa ?! I'm thinking of a boycott.

OH COME ON. You'd keep ALEX over MARISSA?! REALLY?! Why the HELL did that happen? Alex only does things brilliantly when he HAS to! everyone else usually gives 100%! This show is really starting to bug me. I'll stay as long as Samuel stays, but really, this is just madness.

Here's hoping he rectifies it next time. I would have cut Alex once he said there was nothing going on to make him lose focus on his performances.

Point of interest: If the director asks "Hey, you've been kind of lackluster lately—are you tired, or is there something going on in your life?", it is a trick question. The only way to NOT lose respect is to either tell them what's going on in your life, or LIE AND SAY YOU ARE EXHAUSTED. You do NOT say "Oh, it's a little hectic with all the pressure, but otherwise I'm fine."

Seriously, my director asks that the MINUTE someone slips up.

I really enjoy this show. This may be blasphemy, but I think I enjoy it more than S2 of Glee itself. Yea, strike me down if this be true. Verily.

I think that Cameron lacks... something. Like a personality, frankly. It's like this: the wonderful Ryan Murphy frequently tells the contestants when he thinks he knows how to write for him. Speaking for myself, I don't know if I could take his current personality and make it a character... but I'm not Ryan Murphy, of course. [lol]

Okay, before I say anything, Marissa deserved more than the others to stay. Why?!

Anyway, Ryan Murphy's connection of gayness with crossdressing is becoming worrying to me. But I guess that's neither here nor there except that Alex seems to be pandering directly to him, and they seemed to be so distracted by his "risk-taking" (you know, that he had already done once before) that they didn't notice a) he didn't look tenacious because he was walking like an old lady in those heels and b) he had multiple vocal issues in his performance.

I like Cameron but he needs to step up his game a bit. Still loving Sam. Lindsay is getting more bearable. Damien is adorable and I love when they decide they have to subtitle things he says, because lol. Hannah is good but she doesn't stand out that much to me most of the time. It was awesome to see Max Adler today though, he's kind of a boss. I'm trying to figure out who's coming on for sexiness though.

  • I'm kind of shocked Marissa is gone. I expected it to be Cameron. But I loved his original song, so I guess it all works out.
  • Although to be honest I kind of thought Marissa was overrated. They acted like she and Samuel were the most talented ones there, which they aren't, IMHO. Her last chance performance struck me as being very breathy, pitchy, and all over the place.
  • As for Alex, he's very talented, he just needs to improve his attitude. He's been getting the same notes for the past few weeks, and I think that this week it really hit home, so I hope that next week he's not such a diva.
  • I'm really starting to like Hannah more. In the beginning, I didn't really like her, but now that I've seen more of what she can do, I'm starting to like her. I think that she should have won the homework challenge this week.
  • Lindsay didn't emotionally scar anyone this week, which is good. I think that she's becoming less of a crazy girl on a reality show and more of a team member.

I thought that Marissa should have stayed, too... sad

I thought that Sam was kind of The Wesley, but he can stand on his own. He's intense but not overbearing.

Ok, 1) Samuel seems to be a really cool guy and is (so far) the only contestant not to be be low, or at risk. Plus, he can sing pretty damn well. 2) Lindsay appears to be a bitch, but I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and blame that on poor editing. 3) I don't like Alex, never have liked Alex and I don't understand why he's getting a bazillion chances.

P.S. Damien's reaction to the whipped cream was PRICELESS. grin Plus. Hannah's "don't worry, this won't make it on television" was even better.

Hi, I'm de-lurking (hope I get Spoilers right!)). Was anyone else hoping that when they said they were "going way, way back" for Damian's song that they would make him sing "Puppy Love"? I completely understood why he was disappointed with the song he had to perform (like "Amazing Grace", it really loses any meaning when used over and over) but I still thought he was good.

And even though I liked him, I was glad that Cameron left, especially since he and Alex had been in the bottom three for so, so long.

[up]I know! I wanted to see him do it too! Although he could've been a tiny bit more enthusiastic even if it wasn't a song he liked because if it wasn't for Cameron quitting, he would've been out on his arse for it, according to Mr Murphy.

You smell funny.
