It means they will bring them back. I am happy about this, being a major Darkstalkers fan. Here's hoping Jon gets his dues.
Quest 64 threadWell, Capcom's done so many bone-headed moves that there's only one logical thing left to do. Time to murder everyone at Capcom. [/SRSBIZNES]

It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.Capcom better be careful. If they keep this up, one of their fans might actually break and go Ax Crazy and kill everyone at Capcom.
Welcome to th:|If this is because of Mv C 3, there may be hope for Viewtiful Joe.
"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, GodfellasWell, they did have an understanable reason. If they tried making A new Darkstalkers or Capcom vs. Snk now, they would probably overwork everyone.
Watch SymphogearIt may not be dead, but it's not alive, either
Hence it's an Undead game! A fitting state for a Darkstalkers game.
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.OK, they don't have the resources to spare, I can understand that.
But... there is an alternative.
What they could do is pretend to work on it. Give a release date, make a few CG trailers, show some fake screenshots. Build the whole thing up for about a year.
Then, right before the supposed release date, announce that the whole thing was a joke and laugh at all the fans!
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEThat's crazy! That's No A's thing!
Well, they could always get some devs that are really psyched to work on the project, take in fan suggestions and be reallyt open about the whole thing, and release a demo to gauge interest, but rather than actually release the demo just say there wasn't enough interest and cancel the whole project, essentially dooming the series to eternal development hell...

...I'm guessing you didn't read the whole topic?
Welcome to th:|Yeah, the whole jist was:
Darkstalkers isn't dead, there just aren't any games planned for it anywhere in the coming future.
So, other media is still fair game, right?
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself. No, I read the entire article. The fact that Ono is pushing to revive the series is what makes me so happy.
I'm sorry, but do you really want Darkstalkers to appear in other media. Think back to the animated Darkstalkers abortion. Think back to EVERY SINGLE VIDEO GAME MOVIE EVER MADE (except Prince of Persia, that one was just ok).
You get my point, yeah?
EDIT: Just going to put this out here. Inafune was pushing for Mega Man Legends 3 for ten years straight. Yeah...

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI wasn't trying to offend anyone. I was just pointing out something. But yeah, you have a point. :/
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.^^There was a Vampire Hunter OVA that was actually good, I think.

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI'm sure no one will mind a crappy live action Darkstalkers movie as long as Felicia's costume or lack thereof isn't changed.
Welcome to th:|Huh there are manga/anime adaptations that nobody hears about all the time. They usually range between Great and Mediocre.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Does anyone actually play Darkstalkers? While the characters seem to be well-loved, I never hear anything about the gameplay
DONT FUCK WITH ME CAPCOM.
GOH! JII! RAH!
