Only if he keeps his japanese voice and says that sexy pre-battle one liner every battle.

That said, it's pointless to say Omega replaces Zero because Omega IS the real Zero!

Perhaps they could give Viewtiful Joe the voice he had in his original games: unless they can't use his first VA for some reason.

[up]

This. Dee Bradley Baker is THE definite voice for Joe, shame that they couldn't tell him what project they were working on.

Well, Omega would replace Zero in his third form since, while it is Zero's real body, its not his AI driving it. However, the two can easily coexist if Omega was in his first form... or they treat Omega's third form like the Shin Oni to Zero's Akuma.

And since I don't actually have TVC or MVC 3, I should ask: Does Joe's moveset use all 3 VFX powers?

More or less. Mach Speed is in both games, while Slow & Zoom (which included Viewtiful Forever at the end) was switched out for Viewtiful God Hand (a variation of VFX Slow that only affects the opponent) in MvC3. I think he got the Slow dodge as a new move in Ultimate MvC3.

I wish he still has Slow and Zoom, it perfectly represented what his game was like in one move.

I agree. I don't see why they couldn't have kept it alongside Viewtiful God Hand.

That is true. I remember playing both games, and really, if you weren't using Mach Slow at almost all times, something was wrong.

Given that the roster of UMvC3 has been confirmed, I might as well give my wanted roster list. Of course the 50 fighters should all return, but here's what I would want to be added (If not sooner via DLC).

Marvel:
Anti-Venom
Venom (Flash Thompson version)
Cyclops
Psylocke
War Machine
Absorbing Man
Living Laser
Blade
Sabertooth
Abomination

Capcom:
Megaman X
Masamune Date
Bass
Tessa
Batsu
Juri
Jon Taibain
Captain Commando
Jin
Ingrid

Boss(es):
Sigma
Galactus
Apocalypse
Cyber Akuma/Shin Bison (SFA3) as duo bosses.

Modes:
2-on-2 and 1-on-1 modes (They were able to do this with the event battles and it worked out well).
A proper story mode (If Mortal Kombat can do it, surely Capcom can).

The challenge with having a "proper" story mode is that this is a large crossover game where every character are from completely different series.

Mortal Kombat's characters are all from Mortal Kombat, they all have some form of connection with each other and there's a Mortal Kombat story already to build up on. The one crossover character, Kratos, never appears in the story.

Marvel Vs Capcom will be a lot more challenging to make a story out of. The only characters with any connection with each other are the Marvel characters.

Now not to say it's impossible...but the only way I can imagine a Story Mode working out would be something along the lines of Sub Space Emissary...

Or maybe they could just do something like Mortal Kombat VSDC Universe, and just have to story modes, one for each series. It worked well in that game, so why not here?

Well for one thing, the Capcom side is completely random and unrelated.

With MK vs. DC, the respective sides have a connection with each other. The DC side have their comics linked thanks to that cartoon, and MK is a game on it's own.

With Marvel vs. Capcom, only Marvel has any connection with each other. Capcom side is completely unconnected asides from characters within the same games.

...that, and MK Vs DC wasn't that great...

I wasn't saying that MK vs DCU was quality-related, though. Let's not go into opinions on that, since it has nothing to do with it.

And while that's true, they could make up a story pretty easily much like Brawl did. Except with dialogue, which always is more informative than a cutscene anyway.

Mortal Kombat 9 has a pretty decent story. Nothing overly exceptional, but still competent (and much better than vs. DCU IMO). Something like that could probably work.
