A new Anime by Production I.G for the Fall 2011 season

Plot Summary according to ANN:
After the outbreak of the unidentified virus "Lost Christmas" in 2029, Japan has been under the control of a multi-nation organization called GHQ. Ohma Shu is a 17 year old boy who has a psychic power in his right hand. He can use the power "Ability of King" to extract tools or weapons from his friends. He has been avoiding making trouble for others but his life changes when he meets a girl Yuzuriha Inori, a member of a resistance guerrilla group called "Undertaker", whose members pilot mecha weapons to fight against the government.

Apparently the leader of Supercell is composing the music, and redjuice is doing the character designs.

The show will premiere in October

Looks pretty awesome!

I've been looking forward to this one. I'm a little disappointed that the animation doesn't retain more of redjuice's style, but it's understandable why they'd need to simplify it.

I can't help but think of a certain manga when I remember that the main character can extract things from other people, although that's the only similarity.

Conceptual
It's looking more clichéd than I had hoped...

But [up][up][up] background music is epic.

Still, It will be interesting one way or the other, and I shouldn't really judge before watching it.

Cool. That's quite soon. Just to clarify, since I've never caught something simulcast so...promptly, I guess: It will be available starting then, but you don't have to "be there right at 1:30 or else you'll miss it", right? And it won't go away or anything, right?

Not bad. Pace is a bit fast, but that's probably because they needed to get the plot going in one episode

Whoah. WHOAH. Hands down the best show of the season.

Look at that stunning character design and animation and directing and the MUSIC OMFG THE MUSIC -dies via rainbow-colored vomit-

Really now? I didn't much like the music and the characters felt pretty flat to me. The art was good, obviously, but apart from that I don't have much to say about it.
