Is this first time they have done new version of cross over tittle?
Oh, for God's sake.
I suppose it would be naive to hope that they might also offer it an expansion via DLC?

I highly doubt they well. Hopefully, though, the roster will feel a bit more complete, and maybe... just maybe, there'll be an equal ammount of X-Men and Street Fighter characters.
Not that I expect Mega Man, and they only need 2 more Street Fighter characters. We've got SF III and IV to work off of. That'd atleast rep them well enough.(not that I don't want Zangief back though)

Quest 64 threadI'm not as big on this as others are, part of it because of them cancelling MML 3, but mostly because I bought the original game when it came out, and I don't feel like paying $50 to buy the same game with extras. Also, they're still keeping Jill and Shuma as DLC for UMVC 3? Obviously, to milk as much money as possible I guess.
Then again, this isn't too surprising, considering Capcom made like seven versions of Street Fighter 2. I don't hate this, but I'm not that interested. It would be nice if they offered this as DLC to the people who bought the original though.
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!It would be completely asinine if they didn't. Not that I think they did.
"Hey, we just released this awesome fighting game, which we plan to support in the coming months with new characters and features for download. LOL, just kidding! Buy it again!"
Bad show, Capcom. The latest of many.
I tried to warn you! But you wouldn't believe me! And now it's too late!
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEI don't know why you guys doubt they wouldn't offer it as DLC. They did so for Super SF 4 Arcade Edition, after all.

I think you're unnecessarily worried. I mean, fighting games are about the one thing Capcom's shown signs of competence with lately.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyBecause this gets them more money.
If they didn't do it, people wouldn't buy the ultimate version outside of perhaps gameplay differences. It's not too hard to Download characters. Unless, of course, you don't have online.
I'm probably just going to sell off my copy of 3, and wait for the final edition to buy.

Quest 64 threadIf a Breath of Fire character is added I will go out and buy the first day it's out. If not...
Capcom you're still dead to me.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahSo would telling Super SF 4 owners "SOL, gotta get a new disc" when they rolled out AE, but they didn't do that either.
The game's most hardcore and dedicated fans - tournament players - would.

I didn't know about the Arcade Edition thing, actually. That gives me hope.
EDIT: Removed complaining. No reason for it.

You're not getting 12 characters, new modes, and a rebalance (which appears to include new moves for the old characters) as DLC.
Suggested gameplan for Capcom:
1) Finish games before you release them in the first place
2) Two years before the Super-Duper edition, at least?
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEMay as well hold off buying this until Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Alpha Strike, which will come out 4 months after.
Capcom has lost alot of fans anyway with its earlier stunt. This aint helping.

How many versions of Street Fighter 4 are there now...? Yeah, dlc just isn't enough for "fanboys/girls", obviously. And dlc won't make as much money as an entirely new copy.
Unfortunately, not everybody's a hardcore fan. Only some are. And even many of them are tired of spending that much money as is. Jobs are tighter than ever. We don't have as much as we used to, after all. So we can't actually constantly afford to buy the latest edition as it comes out like we used to, when money was easier to get, and when it was much cheaper. 30 bucks for a new edition isn't that hard to pay, but 50 is very steep in comparison.
In other words, while it's an ideal way to make money, it won't work forever.
I actually hate it when they wait less than a year to make a new edition. It feels like we're being punished for buying the original version.(not that we are, of course)

Just kidding, of course we won't.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person. The only reason I give even the slightest glimsp of my attention is that Ghost Rider is being added. That is pretty much it about so far.
