I just watched Stumpt's Price totally break the SHIT out of the game in his first playthrough .

Doesn't seem to be listed under DLC on Rebirth's Steam page... had to search for it specifically.

Wow, I don't love the Sisters Vis boss I just fought. Bit too unfair for just halfway through the game.

You all might want to avoid the "My Shadow" item for now. I picked it up and now every time I get hit the game crashes.

It's been in since Afterbirth, so I dunno if it was how it interacts with Apollyon or if they just fucked up its code, but yeah.

PSA: Do not download mods just yet. There's currently no restriction on people loading malicious files into the mods.

Unrelatedly, Apollyon's Void + the Mama Mega item is ABSURDLY OP. It'll probably get nerfed soon, so grab it while it's hot.

Judging by the reviews on the Steam store page, Afterbirth+ presently seems to have lots of bugs and glitches with relatively few additions in comparison to Afterbirth. Should I buy it anyway now at a discounted price, or wait one or more months?

Personally, I'm going to wait a while until things get ironed out, and then maybe grab it in a sale.

At the very least, all the attention has gotten me back into regular Afterbirth, and that'll last me for a good while.

So do red hearts bounce away from anyone else when they go to pick them up? Like you sorta repel them?

It means you're at full health capacity.

They'll still be there if you leave the room and come back.

I just encountered the hearts that run away from you. I think it's just designed to troll the player or trick you into running headlong into an enemy while chasing it.

Yeah, it only happens to some hearts - like after a boss, I picked one up no problem, but the other kept scooting away.

So I had what may be the most beautiful run I've ever had, with full intent of going to the secret new level, but no portal appeared after I killed ???. Apparently it's completely random whether you get to go or not, which really REALLY sucks.

Probably another bug.

Okay, I just cleared a run in a beautiful 14 minutes, but I didn't get the ZIP! achievement (clear a run in under 20 minutes). What the hell?

God this game likes to push my buttons.

I am rather annoyed that the only effect of the "official mod support" is to prevent me from using mods, since I still want to unlock things.

Mods can make and/or break a game. It'd be kinda dumb to award something to somebody on the off-chance they use some shortcut, and they can't really pick and choose individual mods, so they have to make it that all mods stop achievement-getting. S'happens.

On the rough topic, though, is there some sort of ingame challenge editor for AB+? Or do you need a mod in order to do that?

I mean I get the reasoning, but I really want to use things like visible Brimstone charge bars or more descriptive item descriptions. Why can't they just leave it to players to not cheese things? I mean it's not like the game has online.

It isn't exactly an achievement when you bypass everything you have to do to get to it, especially in a game like this. Like when people datamined for The Lost.

Well sure, but achievements are only worth what people ascribe to them in the first place. If people want to cheese them, I say let 'em.
