... Really? You're sure about that? Because that sounds both hilarious and stupid.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Speaking of name changes I find it funny that changed Omegamon to Omnimon. You'd think they with stick with Omegamon since it still fits the dub's use of mega instead of perfect. Alphamon being made years later is also kinda funny...
35 year old white man.I think it would be easier to list dub changes that ultimately didn't bite them in the ass than the opposite, especially considering that many of those changes weren't just a mere detail like what happened in tamers with jeri and the word destiny.

So I was re-watching Part 4 of Confession and I caught something....
When Kabuterimon joins the fight to help Metal Greymon put the others in the back up cube, the very first thing the two of them manage to do is catch Togemon (Kabuterimon), Angemon, and Birdramon (Metal-Greymon) and fling them right at said back up cube.
But Angewomon flies around them, in front of the cube and catches the other three. That's the thing. She actively moves to prevent them being backed up. Interesting bit of forethought and strategy for so called Berserkers huh?
Hell, when Angemon succumbs to the infection, he goes after Angewomon, who's the strongest one there after himself, and the one who'd been having the most overall success in holding Meicrackmon back. And none of the infected Digimon attack each other, focusing the efforts on anyone uninfected (which is eventually just Greymon until Tentomon joins the fight).
I'm starting to wonder if there's something else to the infection; With all the other mysteries abound (what happened to the 02 kids....which they'll likely refuse to answer at all), what the deal with Gennai is, what the deal with Himekawa is, etc, the idea that there may be more of an intelligence to the infected isn't so crazy to me. Not when Zombie Digimon show such incredible team work.

One Strip! One Strip!Double post:
Caught the sub of episode 5 of Applimon.
Eri has joined the cast, and she's...eccentric. Though it's mostly a role she plays due to her Idol persona.
I imagine the next few eps will let us get to know her before introduced the next guy.
I think this is the first series to not give a female character a female digimon partner. That's a first.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean, didn't Marcus' sister have a male Biyomon? And wasn't Yolei's Hawkmon male as well?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!It isn't.
Though I'm not sure if that Biyomon counts as a partner, but there's also Jeri and Leomon.

Yeah, but we also had Yoshino and Lalamon, and (Hi)kari and Tailmon / Gatomon, as well as Mimi and Palmon and Sora and adventure Biyomon.
This is the first series where there's no female digimon partner at all.....Which is actually what I really meant, but I didn't get it across very well.
Even Nene got Mervamon later on.

One Strip! One Strip!Watched episode 5 of Appmon.
I was thinking the same as Rob in regards to Eri.
Also something I am wondering. Will those Digital World-ish areas that appear in the ending theme song show up for real? Because they look kind of cool to me.
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.You know, one thing really bugs me: Why "Angewomon" rather than "LadyAngemon" to mirror "LadyDevimon"?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Angewomon was first, and because they felt like it'd fit better.
Now that might makes me wonder why not "Deviwoman"?
35 year old white man."Deviwomon" sounds as silly to my ears as "Angewomon" does, thus in my fanon "Angewomon" will always be rectonned into "LadyAngemon".
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. So I was checking out With The Will (a long time Digimon Forum) and looked at some theories about Tri.
One dude there noticed one of the same things I did (about how when they were infected, the other digimon actively acted to prevent Kabuterimon and Metal Greymon from backing them up), and pointed out the obvious idea that Meicrackmon was actually controlling them.
I knew she was the source of the infection, but the idea that she can control digimon while in her berserk state (a berserk controlling berserkers would be kinda ironic) was something that never occurred to me. It would explain a number of things about how that battle went down (like Angemon deliberately targeting Angewomon, who was the biggest threat to Meicrackmon during the initial part of the fight).
He's also got a number of other theories, about how the digimon were brought to the real world (they all said they weren't sure how they arrived) specifically to make contact with Meicoomon and that the infected were being sent to the real world to attack her. The fight with Imperialdramon was meant to frighten her enough to go berserk, and having her meet with the chosen was to get them infected.
All of this was to force the reboot (if the digimon who are suppose to punch evil's face in get infected, then there are no other options but to reboot everything).
It's some fascinating I didn't think about.
One Strip! One Strip! Why not Devimon Lady?
So they're pretty much forcing the reboot upon the world?

That seems to be the theory so far, although whether that's actually the case and why they are doing it is still a mystery.
In fact, their reasons for what they have been doing might even explain why the 02 kids were taken out....provided they even bother with an explanation.
.....
Speaking of which, have we considered that, with no knowledge of just who attacked the 02 cast, there's a distinct possibility that they were attacked by their own infected digimon?
One Strip! One Strip! The 02 kids being attacked by their own digimon seems like a a possibility. Strange enough the 02 kids seems to have shit luck in Tri. They've been beaten, gone missing, and their friends had no idea. Ouch
35 year old white man. That's so meta it hurts.
And alphamon ouryoken
And the ps4 version of next order doesn't seem to have any problems form the graphical standpoint, at least
now fixed

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.I maybe overthinking a fandub but I'm pretty sure the reboot doesn't work the way Hikari thinks it does.
35 year old white man.Appmon episode 5 was honestly the first episode that felt mediocre to me, dunno if it was the plot which was really comedy oriented (seriously who relies on an app to put together their ensemble) or the animation, which looked Off-Model often that gave this impression.
I like Dokamon better out of the duo introduced in this episode, since his naivete and earnestness appeals to me a lot. Eri's okay, her character arc this episode was cliche so hopefully the next episode will flesh her out more.
Other things of note:
- L Corp screams this is being controlled by the bad guy. Explains where Cameramon got his human mooks.
- The beginning bit does bring up a good question: what would happen if a Digivice or equivalent of it gets water in it? Drawing a blank to if it happened before
When the Digimon was starting to get localized, Perfect was the highest stage. Ultimate didn't exist yet. The localization team completely changed the names of each stage, and happened to settle on "Ultimate" for Perfect.
Japanese Ultimate was named after that was already set in stone, I suppose.
