Dammit, I killed Jeb!
Screw this, I'm starting over again.
Don't ornge suits just respawn after 1 year?
Wasn't it one week? Plus you seem to lose the experience you gained on them, so you still lose progress.
Bill, Bob, and Jeb respawn right? Even if the Missing Crew respawn option is off?
Give me cute or give me...something?Hah, thats how I land most of my aircraft though.
Depending on where you're trying to land, it's the only way.
The main landing gear looks misaligned though.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineBeen having fun with the Beta. Restarted a career playthrough just so I could enjoy the pain of limited facilities. So far, everything is Tier 2, and the pad is Tier 3, so it's going pretty well. Mods are installed, so the balance may be quite different (easier and harder at the same time) than stock.
But all told, I'm very pleased with how the game has grown. I recall way back in 0.16, not having other planets to go to, life before docking clamps, life before probe cores, all that fun stuff. Game has grown a huge amount.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterJust pulled off my first rescue mission.
In my science mode game (not brave enough for career mode just yet but I like to have some semblance of progression), I had screwed up a previous Mun landing and ended up with a Kerbal on the surface of the Mun with no way of getting off.
So I built an unmanned rocket with an empty Lander Can and sent that to the Mun and on my first attempt managed to land it within 300 meters of the stranded Kerbal. It then immediately fell over since it was on a slope, but after a little bit of effort (which included ejecting some perfectly good fuel tanks and smashing one of the solar panels into fine powder) I managed to get it pointed towards space.
Then it was just a matter of having my now-formally stranded Kerbal hoof it over to the new lander and take off, eventually safely splashing down on Kerbin.
I'm sure it's not the most impressive rescue ever, but I'm very pleased with myself that I managed to pull it off on my first attempt. Instead of, for example, my rescue rocket collapsing under it's own weight on the pad. Which has happened to me far more times then I should be willing to admit...
Maxmaps is teasing something about 'Project V' (as in the letter).
Direct all enquiries to Jamie B GoodOkay - anyone fly the stock Kerbal X recently? Like, since version 0.24? Due to part adjustments when 0.24 hit, it's no longer incapable of doing a round-trip Mun lander mission. Mainsail got a bump in Isp and Poodle engine lost some mass. Together, the changes increase delta-v to about 7325m/s (according to Wiki), which is barely sufficient for a Mun trip.
So - my little challenge to you guys is to fly it on a round-trip mission to Mun's surface and back, without tweaking it in any way. If you can, you've mastered the core principles of a proper gravity turn, timely maneuver node placement and the skills that go into an efficient Mun landing mission. If not, well, practice makes perfect. Trust me, the Kerbal X can pull it off.
Interesting. I'll have to try it.
Also, the V stands for Valentina.
Direct all enquiries to Jamie B GoodYeah, I just read the devnotes before coming here - Not entirely sure if we're ready for full release, but I guess we'll see! Color me excited!
Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold. Was kinda hoping for a few more planets, and a more stable 64 bit mode.
A little too quick IMO...I mean, sure it's feature complete now, but seriously, why rush? A lot of stuff still needs improvement...
Also does that post mean we won't get resource mining till after 1.0?
Also also: what. I put the plane on runway and accidentally left the game on and do nothing...20 minutes later it's sliding down the BACK of the runway...what.

Give me cute or give me...something?I believe they said mining for refueling will be possible soon
Old forums let me be logged on multiple devices. Now it doesn\'t, and I don\'t feel like fighting my phone every time I want to post.^ I know, but it seems from that post that it might be post 1.0...
Give me cute or give me...something?Pretty clear, I think.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineOh derp, I found the text...sorry!
Give me cute or give me...something?Planes do that. Slowly rolling forwards or backwards. But never seen them quite like that, before.
Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold.I think Harvester said somewhere that they just want to stop being an "Early Access" game. I think it's because they've been one for so long and there's a stigma in the gaming community these days about early access.
For all intents and purposes, KSP is a complete game. The version number has been arbitrary for a while.

ferram's pretty good about keeping his finger on the pulse. I'd expect him to have an update out within the next couple of days.
