Alright, I'm impressed by that DBX animator.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Ooh, Aquila is probably my favorite sprite animator to come out of DB/OMM/DBX. Sakuya vs Dio is still my favorite OMM
Kervin did Wolverine vs Rapheal as well as the Lucario vs Rennamon/Link vs Sora OMM

In my continuing saga of "East vs West" battles... I came up with something that doesn't even qualify as a battle yet amuses me nonetheless.
Afternoon Teatime
VS
Jem and The Holograms
So in this battle of the bands, Jem has Afternoon Teatime on the ropes with her gadgets and possession of a driving license, I suppose. In a fist fight I'd imagine the taller, more physically built group of singers with gadgets would win, but then Teatime is a tightly-knit group of friends and you're not taking one of them down without rousing the others. But Jem and her crew come from the 90's I'd imagine and well... they're from the 90's.So the fist-fight probably goes to the Holograms. Then again, with the addition of Azusa I think Teatime might have numbers on their side.
Not sure which band would draw a bigger crowd or whose songs are catchier, though.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I would mock your gloriously ridiculous suggestion, but we have Gruff vs Smokey coming up so... in retrospect your suggestion feels little too tame.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtptF-YsaRo The next Riot Rumble - i am curious on who you think wins. Personally i far prefer this matchup then Yu vs Jotaro

I mean Sanji beat Gohan so literally whoever the animator wants.
My various fanfics. The Mini Rumbles are no research - basically the animators decide the winners - The Riot Rumbles are actually researched to decide the winner. Noticed that Josuke vs Yu has recently got popular - it might even eventually surpass Yu vs Jotaro

How's this: Saitama vs Invincible?
I mean, it has an east vs west theme, and I don't know much about Invincible but from his name I can guess he's a flying brick, but then Saitama shouldn't be in Death Battle lest we risk another "Superman vs Goku" situation.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Holy FUCK that was so good. DBX has really turned itself around after a lackluster start.
That's because the first season was basically tryouts for new 2d animators. Now that they found some good animators, they aren't trying new people at the moment.

Winner: Lucario, in a very close match.
Next time: Balrog vs TJ Combo
Lucario vs. Renamon will be available to First members 4 hours ago.
...Thanks.

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Yeah, I can't watch it anymore either. Weird.
Was it at least the aura that allowed Lucario to win?
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Among some other things, yes, that was one of the reasons.
It's back up! Apparently, they forgot to put in the "FIGHT!", which explains why I caught it the first time but it quickly got down.
1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 426/1089 (39.12%)Hm, well, I'm glad that Lucario won, at least. Pokemon are now 2-2.
Reason why: Though Renamon was consistently faster than Lucario, his aura could sense future attacks and wider arsenal allowed him to adept as the battle went on. Not only that, but Lucario are far stronger than Renamon, and due to Renamon's glass cannon fighting style, it's unlikely Lucario would overexert itself.
I'm not mad with the result, but I am a bit suspicious, mostly because I'm pretty sure a good majority of feats from both sides came from trained/tamed Lucario/Renamon. I guess it can't really be helped, though why Smash Lucario wasn't included is a bit of a shrug moment. Non-canon, I guess?
As for the next matchup, I'm pretty sure TJ Combo has it. Balrog's best feat is killing an elephant with one punch. While Combo fights aliens, werewolves, skeletons, killer robots.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time? But Lucario is a glass cannon, especially if it relies on Close Combat to do damage. Though the steel typing does help it out a bit.
I find it funny that they're both considered glass cannons even though their defensive feats are surviving a roof-busting explosion withstanding the heat of Magmar, surviving falling down a skyscraper, and Harpymon's Wind Seeker.
Although they say Lucario has "moderate defensive stats", while Renamon has "fairly low defense".
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?If I can kill an elephant with a single punch, I'm sure I can kill a whole bunch of fictionland's aliens, werewolves, skeletons and killer robots.

If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead? On the next match: Looking at it, his only canon victory had him kill Riptor, which left him hospitalized afterward. I mean, I think he should lose just based on the fact that he killed the coolest character in the series.
